420 is just above the cutoff for the MIA rules for full auto weapons. I understand pain is apart of the game, and i welcome it, i was just reinforcing the point that gbisquit made...
cpt. karafa, could you check your MIA messages too... i sent you one as well.

1.0 - 350.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit 351.0 - 410.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit 411.0 - 550.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only 551.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only
this seams to be the safest thing, people have abide by them for a long time and running games at our field where barrels are feet away from peoples faces this is more then necessary. playing at you Field i recommend using this. now that brush is growing in people will be getting closer. i know for a fact that the closest i was to the enemy was maybe 15 feet and full auto it wasn't pretty.things may be getting closer with brush and not having people signing wavers, you wouldn't want something bad to happen. it only takes one pissed kid to have a lot of money into play. maybe even airsoft in general in trouble, with the law or even parents. criticism is high right now and people are starting to like airsoft. its a cause and effect situation.

i must agree with my cousin...
i like to play very stealthily and i know i could get up on an enemy and be within 20 feet of them, especially with the brush filling in. in all honesty... at the last team tehn game i was literally 10 feet from my cousin on the side of a path and he walked past me. i didnt shoot him because i was close, i waited for him to get a good 50 feet before i opened fire.
i know that there are kids out there who will complain to their parents about a painful shot or any other bull... we had a kid at the dirty dozen turnout get pissed and leave because he got shot from very close in the house, granted he was having a bad day, but still.... he is mature, but some kids arent.
paintball has gotten negative publicity with kids being stupid, we should try to abide by the set rules, and maybe discuss this more in person at the briefing next weekend.

the FPS rules i have set are more or less just generalizations if you think you could do damage to someone don't take the shot. but i am trying to allow the ability to snipe i don't think that hitting someone with a gun that can shoot 10 ft further then a fully auto gun sniping. you have to use your better judgement when taking the shot. If any problems come up then we will change it. and for the may 5th game and every game after that there will be waivers. they will be posted on here so you can print them out and have them signed before you come.

Well if i didnt have the op this weekend, i would bring my CA SAW out there which is shooting right around 475FPS with the right spring adjustment.... but as i know if you have been hit at that range you are going to brake more than skin. but i stay right around 420FPS went playin in MOA/MIA events...
But let me know when the next one is would love to play....

TRust me it can hurt even worse with the right shot and the higher powered guns. also i di agree with that above, about safety. if oyu want some pain.. join the armed services, i know.. i have been shot and have shot others in training while using SimRounds... tons of fun

With all the gear most people wear, Its usually hard to tell if you have even been hit, especially with semi-auto. But then there are those guys that go out with a t-shirt and shorts. Last week it was soo hot, I had to take my uniform off and just wear my vest. I did get hit in the arms a few times, and from 20 feet with guns shooting a fair 300fps, and not even a scratch. I guess it all depends on the field conditions, and what everyones wearing.
BTW: PM replied youcantseeme.

i have absolutely no problem with team tehns rules as i played with them last weekend but i am just saying, you should post the standard rules to attract more people and then talk out the finer details of sniping and judgement at your game when you have the turnout and are preparing to play.
cant wait to get out there and hopefully help build on friday.

WRONG! It may bleed. A few weeks back at one of the Dirty Dozen games, Dirty Dan got me from across the field, with a gas sniper, easiyl shooting in the 400 fps range. He was in the back tower and I was by the pond, and it bled, but that was on bare skin. Just for comparison, i was at least 150-170 feet out form him. Through clothing, it will definatetly leave a huge welt if it doesnt bleed. A hit on a paintball mask, well, thats common sense..platic bb hitting a plastic mask, you won't feel it, but you will hear it hit the mask.

there is a difference between 350 and 400 fps... you have 400 on the first page... so i would rather take the sniper shot than an AEG at 400 fps, especially with the sniper shot coming from farther away.
I played over the weekend, and i got pelted from a gun shooting 355 (ish) on full auto from about 10-15 feet away. I got hit about 10-12 times from his gun and it didnt really hurt at all. the only mark is a small red dot... so 350 is not that big a deal, even at 15 ft away. I would just like to see you guys keep the standard fps and engagement limits that the rest of the state is using.

I would rather take the sniper shot. One shot-'lil pain for a few mins, or pepperd from 10 feet away, and your body is gonna hurt for a while. I think I'll take a sniper, because it's just one shot, and it's only one spot, not 10-20 shots all at once all over. Focused pain is sometimes more tolerable than pain spread throughout.
And the guy that left the dirty dozen game this past week, het got nailed by someone pulling full auto right at the goggle line just barley below his eye, and it bled down his face. if you were in that situation, wouldn't you be a lil pissed? However, I do think he overreactec lil bit. So, before any of you go and call someone out on their possible immaturity, make sure you know the whole story. This isn't a shot at you Chaz, im just saying for any people who may bring it up as him being a sissy in the future. Airsoft is a game where you are shooting at others, and they are shooting back. You're gonna get hit eventually, and everyone take a few face shots at some point in their life. (unless your Knief, then you just get nailed in the balls..a lot.)
