Get you 6 man teams ready for Michigan's first Airsoft Swat Challenge. This will be a competition based event that focuses on speed shooting, room clearing and other SWAT style skills. The event will primarily consist of target shooting and tactic use, and not force on force game play.
If you have been to our field and taken part in our three gun competitions, you know what I'm talking about. This will be similar in principle, but much more involved.

WHY? Why must you have this event, which I have been looking forward to, on a day when I am in cedar point... I am pretty sure Ryne will be in cedar point that weekend too.

Event 1 - Hostage Rescue June 17th
Each Hostage Rescue team consists of six members
1: Sniper/ Scout
2: Grenadier (Flash bang)
3: Entry Team leader
4: Entry Team member
5: Entry Team member w/ ram
6: Entry Team member (Medic)
At the Start/ Finish Line on go the team must enter raft / boat and paddle to other side of pond ,
sniper has to make one shot from the boat before reaching other end. Upon reaching other end team
must exit raft/boat and run to their positions. The Sniper proceeds to the sniper platform, faces
his downrange target and shoots , turn face his target in window and shoots
While the sniper moves to his firing position the remaining five entry team members moves to its
positions just outside the shoot house entry door. Upon the snipers second shot , the sniper gives
command of go the grenadier throw a diversionary device ( training bang) through a window ,
and the entry team enters after the device explodes.
Rooms are required to be searched and cleared in any manner that the team members wish. Team members engage eight hostile targets located in separate rooms ( two rounds per target )
There will also be four friendly targets plus hostage. Hitting friendly targets count as a penalty ( 5 seconds)
After clearing the rooms, entry team members rescue one wounded hostage (dummy) located in predetermined room and put in Tactical stretcher (supplied) and carry him back to raft/boat load and cross the pond . The last team member to exit boat to cross finish line stops the clock.

First team will start at 12 pm
All teams will get two timed runs
fastest one counts
come out early and run your team through it starting at 10 am
or come to one of our weekend games leading up to this event
Each month the events will be different , teams will be given points by finishing in the top three positions
At the end of the season the team with the most points wins a trophy and a prize(TBD)
If your team can't make it out to an event you can bring them to a game on a weekend and get timed after that event .

If I have a D+(which shouldn't be hard) or better in Math on Friday I'll be able to go. But my gun currently doesn't have a motor in it. Jeff, care to share?
I haven't played in a while, so I don't know if I want to go to a competition right off the bat.. I'll think about it.

I need some info on why people arent interested in this swat event is it too soon in the season or people got plans for that day

In general, Sundays are bad for me. (However the 27th would probably work better for me  ). None the less, I am very interested in the event and will see if I can work something out, assumeing a team is looking for another guy. Also, what does the ram guy need to do? IE how intensive will the ramming operation be? I would love to put my Halligan bar too good use. TB |

well first of all the ram hits the all doors with either a ram or use the shotgun to open all doors
he can also use the shotgun to shoot targets if neccessary
