Hey guys this is ben the guy with the AUG. Me and andrew will be taking photos of our field tomorro(monday) we will be posting them in our website. We already have a terraserver photo of the land. Our website is www.shootuairsoft.tk If u want to check out mapquest directions, the address of the place is 4000 Marian in trenton michigan the area code is 48183. That address is to the local middle school down the street from me. The woods are directly behind the middle school. We will meet in the parking lot between the school and the running track in the terra server overhead photo. There is a lot of land and fields the land runs even further down south in the terra server photo.

I'm up for a game on the 24th. It happens to be my birthday, so I asked for it off. Plus, I'm celebrating it on the 23rd with some friends (parents out of town! woo!), so I'm free on my actual birthday.
This field directly behind the middle school, it does't sound like a good idea. If it's the school district's property, then it's very illegal to play back there (as in more so than it is to play on any other land). I think it's also illegal to have a firearm within 500 yards of a school (can somebody correct me on the distance? I don't remember it very well), and airsoft guns are close enough. I'd hate to have to miss a game on my birthday because the field is too sketchy.

The land is not owned by the Middle School, it is not even in the same city. The other city allows people to play airsoft, paintball, etc., back in the woods.

......... I think it's also illegal to have a firearm within 500 yards of a school (can somebody correct me on the distance? I don't remember it very well), and airsoft guns are close enough.......... Airsoft replicas are NOT firearms under Michigan AND Federal law. Airsoft BB's are not considered "dangerous projectiles" in Michigan, In spite of 'Stapos face right now Airsoft replicas do not burn a propellant (IE: GUNPOWDER) to power the BB, so they're not firearms under federal law. miairsoft.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=r-n-r&action=display&thread=1047943661&page=1Just read Jackos post As long as the police are notified, and they approve, I don't forsee any problems

El, it would be nice if the law were that easy to interpret. I've read that post, and every other post about the law in Michigan. You may remember that not too long ago, airsoft guns were considered firearms in Michigan because airsoft bbs were considered to be dangerous projectiles. Now, the DA has stopped considering them fireaarms because of how ridiculous it really was. But it means that airsoft is borderline. It's close enough to a firearm for me to be worried about playing on school property. But, I've been reassured that the police have given these guys permission to use the field, so I have no worries about it any more. I'll be good playing there. Plus, the fort looks sweet.
