Sure, give it a try. Mostly this game is to improve our sniper/spotter skills. We can have sniper team Vs Sniper team. Or some rifle men (counter-sniper?)Vs Sniper teams.

This clearly is not a regular airsoft games, more of an open training day

Actually this game is more so off based because I said I could take Liviona in a Sniper Match (Me vs. him). Then it expanded on the AIM Chatroom.

Basically I challenged Liviona (kinda for his title, but not really).

So Gimpy, you really aren't supposed to be in this, no offense.

It is really Liviona's ego vs. my ego really.

Well, to be honest, a sniper intensive training day wouldn't hurt. Livonia and gestapo have been doing this for some time. I need to catch up, especially with King never skirmishing with his type 96, then selling it last month. Leaving me a spotter with no sniper

Now that I'm paired up with Andrew, I have no easy way to practice or play with him because there are a lot of great games in Ohio, and he cant go there, nor play at all this fall and winter.

Well I maybe able to make it to the next Ohio Game. (21st), but Roller Hockey season is almost over, so I maybe more free, though during school I maybe tied up. Nothing is for sure, just most likely I am. If the games are so ahread in advance like Els/Jack's/Gimpy's/ect's Birth-Day Bash game, then I can plan around it and most likely be able to come.

It's mostly because my parents/older brother hate driving more then an hour, because then they go home (since they don't like staying) and then all the way back. During the school year, my teammate gets gummed up in soccer/track related stuff. Most likely the next couple of months I can make it, but after that I am not sure.

I am supposed to get my license soon (I am just a little to lazy ), so once I can get that I am set since I can just drive myself. I am fine tuning my M700 right now as it is, ordering upgrade parts and stuff. I have been a littlel azy and in spur of this game idea, I have just kinda woke up and started ordering the parts.

I say instead of sniper vs sniper. We do Sniper teams vs. Regulars.

When I say regulars. Use say about 5-6 men as a fireteam or patrol group. Have them escort somebody to a extraction point. The Group knows there are snipers but not where they are. The group must stay on the trail and must make sure the VIP stays alive
The group can't run unless it's in immediate danger (so they can't just book it the whole way)

Why cant we do both? I'm sure the sniper teams need some help with ghillie suits, so If were found, our flaws can be pointed out. I kinda appointed myself the counter-sniper, so I wanted to work in that role too.

As for a sniper infested VIP escort, sounds like fun

Livonia, I need some tech info in the TM VSR10 barrel. I got a hunch one will fit in my G3. If you put a tightbore in yours, and still have the standard floatin around, I may give you a bit of cash for it

Y'know this might be a good opportunity for those with sniper/assault configurations to get some practice in as well... maybe have a couple "psuedo-sniper" matches? Don't know the landscape, but is it possible to have more than one game going?

I dunno. I guess its turning into one of those little "play it by ear" events

As for being a pseudo sniper rifle, Its a great start, but a nice long tightbore would be essential. Thats why I need to know if the VSR10 hopup is anything like other Mauri guns

el, the vsr10 barrel is very and i mean VERY small, its smaller than a m4 barrel, 303mm to be exact. it will NOT fit your g3 lol

I THOUGHT that it had a 303mm inner barrel. I just wasn't sure and didn't want to blow up El's expectations if I was in fact wrong.

I say we start the day off (or coolest part of the day, since the ghillies will get us blistering hott under them) with the ego on the line game.

Then Snipers (Would Include Gimpy if he brought the KJ W M700) and Spotters Vs. Everyone else with a VIP Hostage game.

Then also maybe a game where it's a Team vs. another Team with a sniper and their spotter on each team. So like El and I would be on Team A and Liviona and Gestapo would be on Team B.

El I hope your good. I know I train with my team occassionally on stealth, and no one can beat me and my teammate Nick. In ACO's CQB we were ambushed, slide out and around going through a couple doors and office buildings and successfully got behind 3 guys on the enemy force and took all 3 out without them even knowing we were behind them .

303 MM!??! Dammit! I needed something in the 535-555mm range! I know the stock G3 barrel is 469mm, but it doesn't come close to the flash-hider. I know a SIG550 barrel will fit nice (534mm) and only a small amount will be seen in the flash-hider, with none sticking out. If i go the full 555mm with a VSR10 tightbore, ill need a slightly larger flashider to conseal it.

I have yet to make a ghillie suit. I have had no need for one until now. King and I have never practiced.

I try to be a sneaky bastard at times. I'm not great, but I try. I'm just a bit taller than you Andrew, and bout 200Lbs. I do my best to be light footed. Sometimes, but not often, I cant be.

On the up side, i have damn good eyesight.

I know this was supposed to be a bragging rights game, and I warped it into a sniper training day of sorts. The rights to brag will be determined, but more importantly, we need to find our weak spots as players and improve on them. If we keep the competition friendly, we will all become better players for it

And, I didn't mean anything saying that you better be good. Everybody on my team is within the 15 - 17 age group. So we all can be sneaky as hell if we need to be. I know that Chris, Nick, and I are the best ones for the job, that's why I was going to have chris with his M4A1 at 393fps be my spotter, until you voulanteered (which I do NOT mind in the least). Since you already had the position with King, and you guys never practiced, I will fill in for King.

We will see how it plays out, I am usually always on Chris's or Nick's team (not that that is a bad thing, but a change of pace is always good).

Also, El, is your ghillie pre-made? Or is it assembled before you buy it? I want a full ghillie, but thinking of it now, it would be WAY to damn hot and I probably would make a lot of noise. So I may just go with the Head - Torso version.
