Been awful busy lately with stuff, so I haven't been on in a long time. As for your promo I would love to help. I have a thing about zombies. I will help with anything I can anytime I am available. Let me know. So everyone knows the movie I want to make is pretty much no budget, but I will start shooting it as soon as I have time to put pen to paper. As for the actual event Is there somewhere that you have posted all of the information thus far?
P.S. Dibs on civilian badasses team.

In short, I like my job and my paycheck. I don't want to lose either for want of insurance and I am not going to cover this thing out of my pocket because my paycheck isn't that damn big. The real world isn't all wine and roses, I work very hard for the little pay check that I take home and I am not going to dump it into hosting an event. Sorry guys, but currently I am trying to buy a house to live in. Below are some of the issue I am currently encountering. Feel free to jump in if you can help me out with any of these.
[glow=red,2,300]Time/Location/Funding/Insurance:[/glow] We are currently planning to host at shadow's place, which is huge and would be perfect (It really is a huge place) First we have to be certain that we will not encounter any problems as TFT had with the 4-11 game ( I am not going to set up an event and then change the time from 10 am, early morning to late night 7pm) I just want to make certain that we can host during the times we want before we commit. As an alternate, CantoXII has proposed using a field over in his area, that may actually be a better idea if shadow's folks won't let us host during our desired hours...I am just paranoid about getting hosed by having to cancel at the last minute like Mopedman did....I don't want to waste everyone's time and then have to call it quits. Also I want to be able to pay for everything, but Shadow currently won't allow us to charge a fee if we host at his field. I really appreciate the generous offer to use the field, but I am not willing to host, sponsor or endorse this event without insurance. Liability does not change with or without a charging a fee, the issue mainly is that we need to money to make this happen and we need to charge a fee to do that. Homeowners insurance just won't cover it all. Further we need to obtain a comprehensive policy, and without charging, we can't afford to. The cost of supplies is killing my budget and enthusiasm, and again, we need insurance for an event this large, which costs money...lots of money! Anyone with a reasonably priced field (free is always best) please let me know. I want to make this event happen in mid to late June of 2009, but I am stuck with issues of location and cost as well as reliability of the property owner allowing us to operate on time as scheduled. Hopefully we can iron some of the issues out and use Shadow's place, but if not, let's have a back-up plan.
[glow=red,2,300]Movie:[/glow] As for the movie, I have not even bothered to set up anything to shoot a movie. I was talking to venimal about it, but so far it's looking like it isn't happening unless someone jumps up and wants to help make it happen.
[glow=red,2,300]Buildings:[/glow] I needed or wanted to build 4 buildings for our event. So far, I have built one and while that one building is nice, it isn't going to do the job by it's little lonely self.

I'm sorry that the changing time for the 4-11 game is troubling you. That happened because my brother wanted to surprise everyone and take us to a Tigers game for his wedding. I can personally guarantee an agreed time at least 4 weeks in advance this time. If it comes down to it, I call in sick and stay home if my family does something. This is too big to miss. As far as charging admission, I cannot. I know it's dumb and won't change liability, but that's my parent's say, not mine. However, I've been told I can freely allow others to use the field all they want. That includes enforcing entry fees so long as they sign a waiver releasing all liability excluding gross negligence. I will be coming home May 8 and would like to get started helping you with whatever you need. I've also a job waiting for me so I don't mind putting in my fair share. I don't think you should have to front all the financials like you already have. It's our turn. I've done the math. If we have 40 members on this team, assuming we all pay an even amount and that another 4 walls costs $250, it would costs each of us $6.25. Now, I know that looks good in numbers but that will never happen. So assuming only 5 of us help pay, that's still only $50 per person. Next I see you, Rednight, I'll have the cash ready if you'd like to make some more walls. The crucifier has your name on it!
I hope this helps and answers some questions.

The structures are being build on site in Riley, the cost is roughly $215 per building (8x8) and an estimated $240 for the 12x12 building.

When are you planning on going out to work on them next? My guess is as soon as funds are available. Let me know when you guys are working and I will grab my carpenter buddy and we will head on out and lend a hand if I'm available. I have work a wedding and the opera this month as well as a fishing trip June 6th but other then the weekend of the 6th I should be available most Sundays.

Well, it's mainly a matter of fund raising and permission charge a fee to obtain insurance and to use the field.... We will have to discuss this matter further, please give me a call Shadow.
If this thing does not pan out, I will probably just retreive my lumber and existing structure to utilize on a different field. At this time I am trying to broker a deal to use a different field in an area closer to Detroit.
