I can't wait to see what this event can turn into. I would love a nice size OP with some good stratigies. Maybe we can turn an OP out here into a bigger one like Irene or Lion Claws. That would be awesome to attract people all over the US to Michigan for a weekend or so of Airsoft.

The current location i'm looking into is about 4800 acres around a lake, and about 2400 arces playable (rest being wetlands). Due to summer activities and scheduling, this location will most likely scheduled for late fall or yearly next year.

it would be cool if you made cache's
like they would have a ammo, gas, water
and make a ammo limit at the beginning of the game so people actaully get smart and use good tactics.

I've always wanted to play on a lake. It would be a nice time to pop my wet suit on and pop out of the water Navy Seal style

They'll have to have them to be able to counter the massive shifts in troop movement on a large field not unlike this one. Now CPT. Kafara has one Hell of an Understanding of a LONG RANGE OP.....Comfortable Footware, and plenty of fluids.

Yup, when I was at Verano I was throwing up all night and in the morning I had almost no fluids in me, combine that with constant moving around and you have a bad combination. I was mildly dehydrated and I just started downing bottle after bottle for the next almost 2 hours and then I was good again, but I've learned to respect the water, and love the water

Well it sounds like you gave it you're all, and thats all you have to do to get my respect on the field....+1 I look forward to the time we might work together or exchange magazine contents(at high velocity) in the field. I'm always fond of decent friendlies or formidable foes.

I would totally be up for this, and yah, I would also pay up-front (as long as it's not crazy expensive).
Sounds like a lot of fun, although a 24 hour game might be....hard. Personally, I would like a 12 hour game a lot (woohoo! Bring lots of Red Bull!!), but 24 might be a bit much for airsoft.
Any more updates?
Could you estimate a price? Are we talking like $30 or like $100? Just a ballpark like <$50, or >$50.

I would doubt the price would be higher than $50 unless we include pyro, tanks, and lots of props. But this is skypilot's op, so who knows....

i just want to throw this out there, get like 3 super brain chargers, put them at different control points, and if you can hold till the other team runs out of battery, you win

i just want to throw this out there, get like 3 super brain chargers, put them at different control points, and if you can hold till the other team runs out of battery, you win Its a interesting idea like holding a ammo or fuel dump where your team gets supplies, but if a team wins by just running the other side out of batteries, I am sure you will get some unhappy people. This also doesn't include gas guns and spring rifles, those could keep playing even if their team mates run out of batteries. It would be far more effective to have team ammo caches to hold than to hold a few chargers, not only is it more realistic because real guns need ammo, not batteries, to fire, but it also makes troops want to conserve their ammo. I am not saying that we should do this, I just think its better than holding a charger.

Not to mention most fire-fights over one objective never last that long, people usually are smart enough to pull back after a while or at least change or modify their tactics.
