Op: Clear-Water prohibition aka Moonshine Rising
Place: Back hills of Tennessee
Year: 2010
During the summer of 2009 a recorded number of hurricanes devastated the Gulf of Mexico and the Eastern Sea board. The hurricane season brought utter devastation and surging prices of building supplies, food, and oil prices.
The price of Oil has exceeded any forecasted reports and is currently being traded at $477 a barrel, the result of this surge in oil has cause much depression and increased alcoholism within the states. Industrial states and cities such as New York, Michigan, New Orleans, Cleveland, etc. Has seen a surging increase of alcoholism consumption as well as an increase in alcohol related crimes.
At first alcohol was justified alternative fuel source for a country in a fuel crisis, despite the relationship, the ATF dismissed any issues regarding manufacturing alcohol fuel as a liquor. Few select cases individuals found ways to make the fuel alcohol consumable, however the process was extreme and unsafe resulting in death. When death from fuel alcohol occur the manufacturing companies were held responsible and sued. Because of the many court cases pending other fuel alcohol and health related problems, many fuel alcohol manufactures closed there doors. The remaining manufactures that remained open, changed their manufacturing practices and created a safe fuel alcohol that was consumable. The name for this new fuel was Moonshine.
Moonshine became popular as a multi-use product. It wasn't only a fuel, it was a liquor too. And this created problems on the road. Many people soon learned ways around transporting and drinking alcohol while driving. Once case involved a man who tapped his fuel tank with a small latex hose back to the cabin of his truck, just so he and his wife could have a drink along there way. Many people took advantage of this new product. And since it was classified as a fuel, the ATF and local law enforcement officials we unable to do anything until the fuel was consumed.
The ATF decided to convince the alcohol manufactures to introduce a chemical that would make a person sick when consuming this new Moonshine. And make the alcohol usable as only a fuel and not as a liquor. These talks did not go well, the alcohol companies new that 21% of there sales were for consumption as a liquor, and not as a fuel. After the request by the ATF was denied, the ATF stormed the gates to many alcohol companies destroying all manufacturing process facilities. What the ATF didn't know, was many of these manufactures had another plants hidden in the hillsides of Tennessee, producing 5000 barrels of Moonshine a day.
Moonshine Produces:
You primary objective is to defend your processing plants, and continue to ship Moonshine to our buyers.
Credit is awarded to successful deliveries to the buyers. These credits may be used to build additional processing plants, IED's, delivery carts.
ATF:
Your primary objective is to seize and destroy the alcohol processing plants and intercept all Moonshine deliveries.
Credit is awarded by destroying the alcohol processing plants, or intercepting the Moonshine deliveries.
Since the ATF is a government funded organization, the process of recuiting, training, and outfitting unit requires money.
