Anyone going to this op that lives out in Novi? I'd like to attend this one but if no one can pick me up or carpool with me there then I'll just go to Meltdown.

I feel safer in Detroit than the burbs. Nobody down there wants problems so they don't start them, because if something does go down people get serious about it. And plus out of all the crazy shit I've seen hanging out down there, 100% of it happens after 2 am when the clubs let out. I doubt we'll be playing till 2 am. You seriously have more to worry about in the suburbs (Roseville, Warren, Eastpointe) because most of the people who cause problems there know suburbians won't pull a gun in defense.
Look at it this way-
Rob people in suburbs = not getting shot at Rob people in Detroit = lead in your head
If you were a thief which would you choose?
Most drug dealers are nice people too. If you were a drug dealer would you really want to draw attention to yourself by causing ruckus?
My point is there will be no danger to any of you by going downtown. Except for the occasional annoying bum, everyone there, especially downtown, are nonthreatening.
Also we may be able to play at mine and my friends house down by belle isle. Its three stories. Theres just a lot of boxes laying around because of moving. I'll talk to the neighbors and see if they're cool about it.

Mitch1313 tells it like it is. I go down to Detroit for shows all the time and those are in the shit hole of Detroit this place can't be that far gone. You guys just need to lighten up and relax, I had a huge long discussion with my parents about getting shot and its pretty clear, if you don't wave your gun around and shoot at people chances are your not gonna get shot. To people worried about muggers and such, do you really think someone is gonna go up to you in the middle of the parking lot around a bunch of guys with guns bags and backpacks? You need to think like a criminal to feel safe. If you have any doubts, don't go then, do what you want just one less person to shoot at. sadly though I cannot make it to this one, I'm gonna goto Meltdown. Oh well I'll have some fun at Meltdown, and next time I'll be out there for sure.

M10 is open for quite a ways now, if not all the way down. If coming from the north or south, I would take 75 to Woodward, Woodward to Adams, Adams to Cass.
If you are coming from the West, I would take M10 ( I don't know what exits there are for that area).

I've arranged to use the basement of a building in Downtown Detroit for an airsoft game. Sunday, Sept. 16th 11:00am- 8:00pm 1703 Cass St. Detroit, Mi. 48226 maps.citysearch.com/map/view/11491428 Cross Street: Bagley Street The entrance is a black door with the word "Labyrinth" above it, on the east side of the building. I recommend parking in the secured hotel lot on the west side of the building. That is the lot next to the hotel on Bagley st. $15 at the door 350.9 fps or less Camo Vs. All Black PLEASE ARRIVE IN STREET CLOTHESWe will dress and prep in the staging room. BRING AEG's IN CASES OR BOXES so as not to brandish them. Here are some photos: s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc259/Vegas_7/?start=0I don't have a scenario written. However, I have put some thought into the type of game-play that would be best suited to the area. I think a two team, attack and defend situation would be best. A hostage situation may work as well. I'd like to switch who is attacking, and who is defending each game. I also believe that there is only enough room for about 30 players. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. ~Vegas This Is A Horrible Idea! i live near cass and i wouldn't suggest it. nothing but gangs, prostitutes and drug dealers. plus playing airsoft, i don't think so. but if you don't want any one to find your body its ok with me.

Umm, this game already happened, and it was incredible - nothing bad at all. Plus, there was a lions game, so any potential "threats" that all of you are so a-scared of weren't even around.
Detroit might have a bad rep, but most of the bad shit that goes on is on the NSEW sides, not the actual downtown area.
