Each team in Michigan is allowed to send one sniper and one spotter to represent them in this big op for all the bragging rights. But seriously, it's just pretty much a sniper camp for people ranging from those who just bought a sniper yesterday to those who have been in the game for a while, included would be a few mini-games that each team would have to complete as well as a few one on ones with the winners of the mini-games. Snipers must have a bolt action rifle (Gas is allowed) and spotters may only use Semi-auto. This game is still in the basic planning but I just wanted to see what you all thought of it, it would be played at the MOA tac field, probably end of spring or beginning of summer, so end of april or middle of may. Let me know if anyone is interested, thanks.

Sounds like a blast, what about side arms though?

Side arms are acceptable, so long as they are either a pistol, or a smaller type AEG with a lowcap or standard mag.

This arises more questions....
Are the snipers allowed to carry their main rifle and 1 sidearm? How many rounds for his main rifle? How many rounds for his sidearm? Must his sidearm be a gas/electric pistol, or a compcat AEG or gas SMG allowed? (TM MP5K or Maruzen MAC11 for example)
What limits does the spotter have? AEG velocity? Sidearm limitations (i have 2 full auto pistols, and one semi only pistol)
Could I carry my G3, MP5K and Para-P14?
COULD micaps for backup AEG's be allowed? (will accept lowcaps for my G3, only because no one makes midcaps for them)

Are the snipers allowed to carry their main rifle and 1 sidearm? Yes, so long as the sidearm is only a pistol How many rounds for his main rifle? As many as they can hold How many rounds for his sidearm? Same Must his sidearm be a gas/electric pistol, or a compcat AEG or gas SMG allowed? No, the only sidearm allowed for a sniper is a pistol, the spotter is allowed to carry an AEG, however they must stay on Semi-Auto and use only midcaps or standard mages
What limits does the spotter have? The spotter only needs a standard AEG, if it's upgraded that's fine, but like said before, standards or mid caps only and semi auto as well. AEG velocity? As high as Doc will allow, so long as they know their enguagement limits. Sidearm limitations (i have 2 full auto pistols, and one semi only pistol) It'd be prefered that you use your semi only pistol, however the full auto one is acceptable.
Could I carry my G3, MP5K and Para-P14? Depends what your rolling as, for snipers I'd prefer only semi auto high upgraded AEG's with low caps or standards or a semi-auto bolt action rifle, no AEG's on the sniper unless it's the primary.
COULD midcaps for backup AEG's be allowed? (will accept lowcaps for my G3, only because no one makes midcaps for them) Again, AEG's only for spotters, unless it's the sniper's weapon of choice, in which case, you may carry as much ammo as needed.
I've already come up with 5 different mini-games as well as a ladder based tournament for each team. If you read the Airsoft Sniper forum that is where most of the questions are answered, but we've got teams from Ohio and Indiana interested in this as well as a good handful from MiA. Shoot me a PM here or on MiA if your interested, the date isn't set yet, but most likely it'll be middle-end of spring of next year.

Sorry for the double post, but I just thought I'd say this:
We've got 5 mini-games for each sniper and spotter to complete, some are done single handedly, some are done with both of them. But overall, it's going to be an insane event, after the mini-games the winner of the mini-games will be announced, or rather.. the winning team. But after that we'll be having a ladder based tournament in which scout/sniper teams will compete against eachother, winning teams advance on so on and so forth until the final two sniper teams go at it, after that game, the best scout/sniper and spotter team in Michigan will be revealed.

The date isn't set in stone, for sure it'll be sometime next year, probably beginning of summer. Like the first weekend of Summer Vacation.

To answer your question Hoover, as I said before. It's fine if you have a semi auto rifle, so long as you don't treat it like a full auto rifle, this means: - Low cap or standards only (If I hear a rattle or anyone else does, your disqualified from the event) also, at any point in the game a field ref can walk up to you and ask you to eject your mag, and if it is a high capacity, you forfit the round.
- You only fire about one round a second tops, if you're shooting it like a paintball gun (clicking about 4-5 bb's out a second) then it'll be considered as an automatic weapon, which will disqualify you from it as well.
And to answer your questions Kitty Kat: You must have a team mate, because in real life no sniper roles alone, so I won't allow any airsoft sniper to be alone, if you're looking for a team mate, then by the time I have this set in stone for single snipers or spotters I'll make a custom roster for that and you may PM the other person about grouping up and work it out that way. But there are objectives for both the sniper and the spotter to complete as well as individual ones for each, so it will be near impossible to complete for just one guy.
Feel free to ask more questions or put in your input, thank you.

So what your saying is your spotter can only shoot at tops 1 round a second...? or are you talking if the sniper roles with an AEG he can only shoot 1 round a second, because I have an AEG sniper that currently shoots 460 fps and I can get it going like maybe 4 rps.

I'm going to just say both shoot 1 round a second. Because there is no use of enforcing semi auto unless you really make it strict, because people will claim that they can just shoot fast (Which a few AEG's can do with light trigger pulls). So I'll have to say only AEG's can shoot 1 shot every second.
