The last time I posted my prices on line, someone went to the manufacturer/distributor and complained so they almost boiled me in oil. I am not permitted to advertise any price less than MAP even if my prices are less. Stop in and check them out.

I am not trying to be argumentative, but how do other US retailers get away with it? Is there a different standard if the retialer has a physical store vs. being an online retailer only? Furthermore, who would complain about a retailer advertising prices online?

Its called map ( minimum advertised price ) to be a retailer of a certian product you are required to advertise no less than map pricing but are allowed to sell it for however much you want once the customer is in the store

Ok, I understand MAP, but how do other stores advertise below that price online, when they also have a retail store? Take 1stProtocol, for instance. According to SpyKing some weeks ago, the MAP for the CA Aug A2 was $246. How can 1stProtocol advertise the same product for $210? Here: 1stprotocol.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=511Are they in breach of some kind of agreement by doing this? Hypothetically, could someone complain to the manufacturer and that would force 1stProtocol to bump up their advertised price to MAP? I'm not trying to be obnoxious, I am genuinely interested in how the retail side of airsoft works.
