I had already inspected and cleared the weapon..... I'm a big fan of trigger diciplin... check out my 1911 and .38 picture..

i didnt load with finger on the trigger, ive been around guns my whole life and know better than that.

To answer your questions Zeke. we were in the Huron National forest near Oscoda in a little nook of the woods i like to call "The Sand Pit". Its a couple miles back in the woods and you would definitely want a vehicle with good ground clearance and 4wd to get back there. We were there for at least six hours and shot over 1000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers and gauge. And yes it was a blast, no pun intended
