I frequent militaryphotos.net, and most of the people there (many current or former military personnel from quite an array of countries) pretty much frown upon airsofters, calling them wannabes, losers, etc. While browsing tonight, I came across this. www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98882I can't wait to read the comments. |

Im about ready to post more of my cold and blunt logic typical of EL. "I know both of the guys personally. Yeah, there a bit nerdy, but aren't we all somewhat odd and excentric in our own ways? I also play airsoft with them, and a game with firends and mini electrics (to me) is nothing compared to a game with 130 people all equipped with high dolar electrics (AEG's), some costing well over $1,500. If you have to ask why we do it, then dont bother asking. there a many active and retired military who throughly enjoy airsoft. (one I know well who did 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan, a well as Marine medic, and A combat engineer) If you dont like airsoft, thats fine. I have heard your opnion and it wont change mine in the least bit. Its my hobby and I have fun with it, nothing will change that. As for my two young friends and their airsoft mortar exparments, If you worry about americas youth because of this video, ask yourself this.... Would you rather see these two boys SAFLEY shooting airsoft BB's at each other, running around in fresh summer air and getting exercise? Or would you rather see them smoking pot in the basment and playing video games on the Xbox 360 all day on a bean bag chair eating cheetos (apologies to Ron White  ) Hate me if you want, it wont bother me. You are entitled to your opnions, and I am entitled to ignore them." |

But Jamie doesn't have a bean bag chair! We spend all day in his basement smoking pot, playing xbox, and eating cheetos while sitting on his couch.

There is a section designated for airsoft/PB/and reenactment ya know? However a lot of people on MP are just cocky 40 year old 120 lbs military wanna be's. and they themselves think airsofters are posers. I wouldn't let other peoples opinions you don't even know bother you. oh, that is a pretty swt thing you made there Embed. |

The guys that rant and rave are the posers. I used to go off on those idiots all the time, especially on Youtube. I realized that after I spent 5 minutes letting my anger fly, I never recieved responses from any of them.
