Well, after being asked this countless number of times I've decided to make the post asking other's what their names meant and/or how they got them. I'll start with mine "Mosin" I got the name because in Call of Duty 1 when everyone would roll around with Thompson's and automatics I ran around with the Mosin Nagant 7.62mm sniper rifle, most people just started calling me kid with the mosin then they took out the unneeded and made it "Mosin". Now most kids pronounce my name like "Moss-in" when it's actually "Mow-sin". About 2 years after sticking with the name Mosin I wanted to check out the real steel version, so I went out and bought one at Gander Mountain for $150. After that I took it to the range and I was hitting quarters at 100 yards. I fell in love with the gun and that is how my name became Mosin. But feel free to just include here how you got your name, how it's pronounced, and why you like it. Maybe we can learn something about each other that we didn't know . -Mosin

One of my older friends referred to me as "Psychosis" almost 10 years ago in a group e-mail, I stuck with it as a gamer tag.

Im from Livonia, so thats how i got that part. Then at one of the SEMIA monthly games someone said "All hail father Livonia" so that kinda stuck.

I started airsoft as an embedded photographer so I just shortened it to Embed and put Mr. at the beginning for the hell of it. Just call me Embed.
I'm pretty sure this should be in off topic, however.

Back when my uncle and I started collecting our arsenal, we'd test all the new replicas in my living room from about 6-8 feet on each other. I was always the first one to volunteer for the full auto burst and as I'd get shot with 30-40 rounds, I'd be laughing at the stinging sensation. My wife witnessed this one day and told me that I was like a little kid begging to be shot. Wearing my wonderfully " tactical " t-shirts, I'd end up sporting 30-40 little welts that eventually turned to little bruises. That day, my wife asked me if it hurt and when I told her it wasn't that bad, she started calling me a crazy man. I kinda liked it. So, it stuck. I just shortened it to Crazyman because I liked the way it looked in my sig.

Xipe, short for
Xipetotex: Master of SWING .... and EVIL!
Pronounced shee-pay or shippy
I did a paper on mesoamerican deities with all these wonderful and unpronouncable names. This was back before Al Gore invented the internet, then the next day he invented Yahoo and they had this free FREE email thing, so I dumped my AOL account but I needed a handle. I used the second unpronouncable name I could think of (Huitzilopoachtli being to obscure) and after everyone starts emailing you, its hard to drop it
So Ive still got this moniker 13 yrs later

SkyPilot. I'm a aircraft pilot. I think the name sums it up. I've been thinking of Sky"Wookie"Pilot or SkyWookie for short. Can't remember who called me that at one of the recent Op's. But I like it. It's a good alias. -Sky'Wookie'Pilot

Mine is somewhat of a Metal Gear thing. My team, for the most part, uses Metal Gear names for callsigns (I know, we're SOOO original... ) we have a "Solid Snake", "Gray Fox", etc. Well, I'm the sniper and I hated the sound of "The End" so I opted for "Sniper Wolf", and just go by "Wolf" for short. I cant even tell you how many people have come up to me like "Hey, you do know that Sniper Wolf was a woman, right?" -Wolf
