To some, Runescape is a way of life, almost like another world you can run to. You can do whatever you like (except for a few rules like offend other players and stuff), it is a free world out there.The whole idea of Runescape is very original, as it combines the ideas of real-time action, RPG and multiplayer games into a very basic program. What fascinates me the most is that your character is part of a diverse trade community, where every item, depending on its rarity, has an accepted "market value." You can make armor, mine ores, become a woodcutter, fish and cook fishes, and make bows and arrows and so much more. Your limit is your imagination.It's basically very similar to real life: improve your skills and make money off a particular trade, which will allow you to finance skills such as magic and ranged fighting that require a constant supply or runes and arrows respectively. You really get a sense of community in this game, because part of the gaming experience depends on the other players. When selling a commodity, a player can log on to a room that has a large amount of players, while those who want to train by fighting creatures without other people taking the kills may prefer to chose empty rooms. Although i'm not a member myself, it is possible to pay $5 a month and unlock tons of member benefits, including many new places to travel to, more items... etc.

RuneScape is a fun, challenging, and exciting game which is very important part of the life of many people.HAVE FUN!

It's not my type of game so for me I wouldn't say it is the greatest. I'd say the greatest game I have right now would be Black or Halo 2. I know there are better games out there but from what I have, those would be up there.

I am the most runescape-racist person you will ever meet. I DESPISE that game! It look soo cheesy, and I can't beleive people are able to sit there day after day and play it. Ok, im done.

I played it for about a month when everyone at school started playing... I got pretty into it, decided it was a GIANT waste of time, the graphics sucked and it was just a bad game overall. Moved onto puzzle pirates... where you actually have to use your brain a little bit, and got bored of that pretty quickly as well... although I did make it into the top 10 list in cannon loading

I played Runescape for about a year and a half, I got a bunch of good gear and some money. But then I decided that I wasted too much of my time, and went on to bigger and better things, i.e. World of Warcraft.

Heh, my Rogue drops Mages faster than a party store robbery in the middle of Detroit.

But yeah I used to play Runescape when the game first got up, in 2000 I recalled the Party Hats dropping and I had one of each, my only regret is not saving them because I've see a white party hat (Rarest of the rare of items) go on Ebay for $1,000+ .. And if I held on to that to this day then I would probably sell it and buy myself a Systema or something, but one of my older chars name is:

You can look his stats up, I think he's got around 10 things that are level 99. Either way after I got bored with the game I just bought World of Warcraft and although the transition was hard (Getting used to the whole "WTB, WTS, LF3M Tank and Heals DM... WoW talk) but after all that I have no regrets.
