Heh, it's all personal preference with that. But yeah the internal upgrades will be done probably by Silent Dawn and the externals will be done hopefully by Blood Dynasty assuming my M324 sells. Thanks for the comment though

No, it's not a personal preference. There has been a wear and stress test done with both springs. Systema spring are harder on the gearbox, and their FPS falls farther after wear-in time, which is about 15 fps, PDIs lose about 5.

Well, I don't know where you recieved such information, but Tex and Op-Doc both dissagree and claim it's really only personal preference, and considering Doc runs MOA airsoft and he's got about 50 different $500+ AEG's. I'll listen to him, thanks for the advice but I'll stick with Systema unless someone who can actually show me the evidence or proof says otherwise. EDIT: This project will be done probably by Blood Dynasty

Gestapo is right. That's been common knowledge in the airsoft world for the last 10 years or so. Just because a few people in an isolated pocket of the airsoft community think something doesn't make it the truth. PDI springs are shorter, and keep the gearbox under less constant strain. And it's just a fact that they lose less strength on average than SystemA springs once they wear in. I'd give you links to the evidence, but unfortunately, the site with the best information on the subject went down about 6 months ago and has never come back. Gestapo has been into airsoft for as long as Tex has. I should know, I started Tex in airsoft. He's no more experienced than Gestapo, just a little more vocal and sure of himself. I don't know much about Op-Doc, but I know that he hasn't been on MiA for nearly as long as Gestapo, so I tend to give him less credibility, even if he does own a shop and has put tons of money into guns. Remember, just because somebody has spent a lot of money, that doesn't mean that they know anything. I could buy a $300,000 sports car, but that doesn't mean I know more than El Phantasamo does about the engine.

I would of gone with the quote from Tokyo Drift.
"-This beast's got 500-horsepower and a Borla exhaust system. It does 0-60 in what, 4.3 seconds?
Wow. You can read the brochure."
And even I knew that, and I don't know jack shit about any guns, except for the ones I own.

Hm.. Well everyone I've talked to has seemed to have told me it's really just personal preference. I might have to get this other spring then if I'm going to want less stress on the Gearbox, I'll talk to Tex and Doc about it.

Why would you continually talk to people who have already given you bad information? You know how they feel on the matter. It's not like it's going to change because you asked them again. If somebody tells you that it's personal preference, it's means that they don't know and assume that any spring that puts out the same velocity works the same. That's simply not true.

Nice, I like the RIS on it. Quick question, do you run around with that bipod all the time? It looks like it would just get in the way.

The bi pod actually folds up and folds inwards towards the gun and rests just above the trigger guard and the selector switch, it doesn't get in the way at all But yes I do roll with that all the time but it's only out and ready when I'm sniping. EDIT: Knief just because they are wrong on the spring situation doesn't mean they have bad information, in my opinion they know just as much about airsoft weapons as anyone else here does.

Yeah, Doc is overbearing when he thinks he's right. I actually suggested the Prowin 8mm gearbox and a PDI 250% spring, but I that was too pricey for Mosin's budget, so I let Doc take over as I'm not completely versed in all the products out there, just did some research to find the ProWin and PDI spring. I personally have no idea about what gears will take that kind of stress the best, so I have no input on that.
Personally, I think Doc suggested Systema because it's a spring he could order himself, whereas PDI is one he couldn't, but I don't know
But Mosin, Knief as well as Gestapo are correct. And as far as advice from Knief, I'd personally take his word over Doc's on these upgrades. Love Doc, but Knief is better versed than most anyone I know.
Look forward to seein most of y'all at Blood Dynasty, will be nice to see ya again!

Mosin,
If you want a PDI Spring, I can get you a PDI Spring no problem on that.
Knief, I know you have been part of the MiA Community for a while.. Cool, But I have been playing in the South before I came back up here after getting out of the military. I played down there for just over 7yrs and was part of the NC and Virgina Airsoft Community for a while. I dont think we have ever ment, it would be great to meet and talk airsoft or what ever so we get to know each other.

Doc,
I don't have much time to make it to the west side of the state often, but I'll be at Blood Dynasty if you will. We should definitely find some time to meet. I don't know nearly enough faces from MiA.
