Actully, it's not that hard to look through. However, it is a little sore on my neck when I am just sitting and waiting for long periods of time. Usually, I am not in one spot for very long, or I have it propped up on something to make it easier to aim. Although, yes, a cheek rest would definately help..

Love it. This gun hurts like hell. The camo finish just finishes the deal.

Nice paint job and great gun. As far as a cheekrest goes, with the sling on my m14, I cannot use a cheekrest because it interferes with the sling connection. If you aren't gonna use a sling, I recommend the one of the cheekrests made by Blackhawk. I used it personally when I didnt have my sling on the gun, and it was very comfortable on the m14.

The m14 is beautiful. On a sidenote, the v2 madbull tightbores are amazing, I have a 363mm and it does wonders.

$650.... What more can you do?? Thats a lot. What brand did it start as? It started as Marui. What more do I need: more standard mags at $25 a pop Reinforced gearbox shell -$80 High torgue motor $40-90 depending on brand and quality Tightbore- $50 for a 500+mm, and the only brand that makes them longer with an m14 cut is KM. High fps out of the box doesnt mean it will be reliable. there is a reason why rifles don't come super hot out the box, other than that it's against the law where the are imported from. Get a Marui and upgrade it if you want power. G&G has it's wo mag design, which CA copied in its m14. G&G has a sitty m14 rep from the past, and I doubt they'd get better. TM is the only one that has the ability to accept any midcap mags whatsoever. It has t's own hopup design and barrel cut, which is it's only downfall, but Marui hop-up is far better then any other stock brand out there. Mien is still stock, and I can easily engage targets up to 180ft out. And above all else, Marui is far more reliable than the other 2. When you buy Marui, you know it will work out of the box for a long time, or untill you do somethign to prevent it from working, like upgrades if doen wrong.

Although, yes, a cheek rest would definately help.. Check Dunhams, they were just having a sale in Port Huron where I picked up a generic ATI cheek rest (6 bucks, normally 10-15). Thick rubber, comes with two screws to mount but it can be done with 2 sided tape or velcro. Should look pretty nice on a 14 too. edit- this is what I bought www.centerfiresystems.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=32

I just bought like a Grand worth of stuff(Guns and GEAR) so I don't really want another gun for..now. But if I was to get a TM M14 I would definitely have to upgrade it a lot to make it Sniper-Like since a sniper rifle is the only type of gun I still kinda want. How many FPS is yours??
