What other things besides airsoft do you guys do to take up your life? For me, its building air cannons with piston valves, ever improving my homemade go cart, fixing small engines, and speedrunning my favorite game of all time: Metroid Prime. Ill get a video of the go cart up soon, its actually pretty nice. Built it back in the 6th grade. The frame and steering was designed on solid works (CAD program), and the engine is from an old leaf blower. If i could make it, i didn't buy it, so the whole thing only cost about $300. The engine is 1963 Wisconsin beast. 8.25hp at 3700 RPM. Lets me move at about 25-30mph. ;D As for metroid prime. I love that game. And space jump first, or killing thardus with the plasma beam always makes my day. Too bad Prime 3 sucks ass. Still no sequence breaks for it, and the game takes forever because of the ship flying to different planets and all the cut scenes.  |

I Disc Golf, a lot, masturbation also comes into play sometimes, but not so much lately, since Knief likes to kill two birds with one stone. All I have to do is sit there.

Well, I have several other things to take up my time. Aside from Airsoft weapons, I also enjoy their real steel counterparts. I try to make it out to Top Gun, the local range, as often as possible, to practice my marksmanship and have some fun, renting the exotic weapons such as the UZI and Thompson.
Another hobby of mine is retrogaming. Retrogaming, for those of you that don't know, is the collecting and playing of classic video games and their accessories. My collection includes a working Atari 2600 (the original Atari system) and a Sega Master System (Sega's answer to the NES), both with plenty of games to play in all their 80's glory. It may not seem like much of a hobby, but the most time-consuming portion of this hobby is the actual "hunt", the search for games and systems "in the wild", which refers to items found in pawn shops, thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales, as opposed to buying them from a specialty shop or online store.
My other activity isn't really a hobby, more like a passion. I am also a DJ/Producer of electronic music, mostly in the rave scene. I mostly work with a style called UK Hardcore, which is a fast-paced, upbeat style that is quite popular in the rave scene.

I spend a lot of time with manual and CNC machining. In the past 2-3 months I have competed in 3 competitions, all of which I have placed and one with first prize. My small air motor won me first place at MITES (Michigan Industrial Technology Education Society) regionals last week, it was suppose to move onto the state level, but I was unable to get it to Lansing in time. It tops out around 7000 RPM regulated at a MAX of 250 PSI   2nd place Skills USA Regionals for precision manual Lathe 3rd place Skills USA State for Job specific Precision machining Lathe  Some Stuff we made this year at MCC working with HAAS CNC machines/programming.  Other than this, I spend most of my time working on my truck, I like mechanical things. The masturbation thing can get kinda boring, its called a girlfriend for those of you who have never heard of it. |
