What happened?

Hey guys, i just got done reading the thread that claims Heres what i know, After i got my ban on MIA, I made a few alternate accounts to post those stupid little posts. After the registrations got closed, I tried to get around it but had no success. I played COD4 for a while and then check to see if there was any other posts added to my harassment threads. I saw the thread calling me a hacker and i was like WTF! I then IM'ed ehlers and asked him wtf is going on. Then i figured that the mods must of done this to play a joke.

I can see why you all think its me, i have been battling it out with the mods for a while. All signs point to me, what convenient timing for this attack to happen, eh?

Instead of me finding a way to prove it wasnt me, find a way that it is me. I didnt do it nor approve of it, though it sounds kinda funny to be honest.

All in all, whats the real damage done? all i know about is that people got PM'ed.

I hope you find this fucker, and then it will all be behind us.

I dont know how the IP's matched but somehow it did. Let me make this very clear right now, i did not hack Knief's account nor had any part in it. I dont know which of you guys thinks this is some funny game to play but its not.

One of the worst feelings is having a ton of people hate you for something you did not do.

So whoever did this, knock it off and call yourself out, because other people are taking the fall for it and it really sucks.

I plan on seeing you all at future events ('cept you chairsofters) and i hope we will have a good time.

Dont bother me with this shit because i did not do it and am getting a bit frustrated with it by now.

An IP can't just "happen" to show up as your IP, it DID show up as your IP. Theres only 1 IP address for 1 connection to a router. Just stop denying it and admit it.

The physical proof is that the IP infact DID match Screagles IP exact. An IP can't just show up wrong. It's very unlikely, if not impossible.

And I know your just going to come right back saying that you didn't do it. You STILL did enough to get a perma ban on MIA anyways, so why does it matter? I told you the first time you posted a bogus thread that it would likely get locked, and to PM a mod. You didn't and now your facing the consequences.

Theres only 1 suspect, and its you. You made multiple accounts to bypass bans, flamed the mods, spammed, typed grammatically incorrect, and hacked an admins account. Don't tell me the IPs just magically got mixed up and yours came up instead of the real culprit. Stop telling us that, its 100% pure american bullshit.

Keep smiting me for all I care, it doesn't make a difference to me.

Just so everyone knows, the mods are keeping a close eye on this thread (myself in particular)

So far, everything has been civil. It also looks as if it could blow up into a flame war.

If everyone continues to post in a civilized manner (as we have seen so far), no worries.

If this escalates into a flame war, threads will be locked and ban-actions will be issued.

"You can't actually 'fake' an ip address, as the information has to get back to your computer somehow.

But you can go through another computer, and use their ip address as your surf. A quick search on google brings up examples."

this incident on MIA peaked my curiosity.
I decided to consult a good friend of mine of 13 years, who we will refer to as "Mr. Chewy"

For the past 8 years, "Mr. Chewy" has been a computer network security professional. I called him and gave him a very detailed overview of the whole situation. He has this to say.....

"It is possible for a hacker to duplicate this persons IP addy. However, "IP Spoofing" is quickly becoming a lost art. Its a very time consuming and somewhat tedious process, more so than simply using a brute force password cracker.

Given the fact that this person accused of the hacking has made many posts for the sake of being a nuisance, and the fact that his prank PM's and E-mails were in direct relation to known "pet peeve" of the person attacked (proper grammar), I would say in my professional opinion that the person who received the ban action is the person who hacked the moderators account."

the problem Sh1ft, is that there is no PHYSICAL proof. All the evidence in this incident are nothing more than A series of1's and 0's that bounced back and forth along the internet.

To me, if Screagles really wants to prove his innocence, where was he at quarter to one in the morning on the sixth of August?

I stand by the Mods on MIA for their ban action. Your behavior there was going to get you banned anyway. This recent hacking of A moderators account from your IP was simply "the straw that broke the camels back"

A ban action on MIA will not directly lead to a ban action on SEMIA. It will however, lead to more scrutiny of your actions on SEMIA after a ban on MIA. We will be lees tolerant of "leetspeak" or nuisance posts. So far, you have been fine. If you post something to be a nuisance, or condone illegal activity on the forum, you will receive a Ban-Action.
