What do you think about night games and 24 hour games. Do you think that would be fun? Let me know I'm considering having one.

How fun a match is depends more on how it's put together and who plays in it. I enjoy night battles, and 24 hour games provide a more extreme test of endurance - certainly making the game more than simply going out into a forest and shooting each other.

You could have capturing the other teams fort or something like that. That happens at most rec games. You need a lot to do to keep a 24hr game from getting stale

You also have to remember just how taxing airsoft can be. After 6-8 hours of running and gunning, most people are exhausted and happy to go home. If you want to do a 24 hour game, you need to build in a lot of sitting around and doing nothing just so people can relax for a little bit. I don't know if I'd have the endurance to play for 24 hours straight and not hate myself.

I'd love to see some overnight games where each team needs to designate security patrols to protect their sleeping/resting team-mates. Taking shifts would be very realistic, and allow people to rest as needed.

Yea i agree with shadow. If you had a game where you arrive say around...8ish and play through the night until like 12 in the afternoon. That would be sick nasty. I think a FULL 24 hour game is just a little to much. And how would you set it up? Like 12 afternoon to next day 12 or would it be more of a start late at night and play through until next day.

I have done 24 hour operations, and even longer. Most of that was in the military of course, I was younger and in better shape then, and I think that during the first operation I didn't sleep the first night becasue I was so excited.....the next day however I was dragging my ass around hating life. I think that another point to consider is the notion that people resting and eating will not want to have their goggles on so a provision mus tbe made forpeople to rest and eat safely and comfortably. as for ideas to keep the game flowing, I have always liked the idea of using roleplayers to fill the position of team leaders and help coordinate the action, that way people keep moving.

Corey if you would like, If you host a night time event I would love to be a role player. Maybe.. A hostage or you can have random objectives (that you can make before hand) that players will have to do in awkward times. On the eve of battle you can send someone out that can scream "Oh Help me im to scared to move and must be brought back to your base" So and so... Lol But yea if you have role players like redknight suggested I would do it.

I like shadows idea, a place that we could play at has two barns about 350 yards apart. Their surround by woods, theres a field in between them. The grass in the field is about 2-3 feet high.

I know this may be a little late, but what would the situation on batteries be like? Would their be shifts where players would charge one battery, and play with the other? What about the ones who only have one battery for their aeg? I dont think a single battery could take the abuse of conatant usage, or it may just die. I have two batteries, so id like to know how that system would work out.

If it were me and/or SkyPilot, we would encourage you to carry enough batteries and ammo to last the full 24Hrs. If you do run out, you can always go back to your car, get more BB's, and charge a battery. HOWEVER, you can't go back into the game with out a respawn. (we usually use group respawns)

I noticed some of the previous posts, let me shed some of my wisdom on a 24 hour game. I've play a few before back in the day of paintball, the concept of a 24 hour game sounds great, however field size is key.
A large field, minimuim ratio of field = players is about 5 acres per person. Yes, 100 players would equal about 500 arces. Otherwise the field gets boring over a 24 hour period. Plus it gives more fun in the 'hunt' of other players. A small field will go stale quickly on a 24 hour game and people will stop playing.

El is not just devilishly handsome, he is brilliant too! I am going to use group respawns for our Zombie game! It will solve so many logistical issues!
