Same problem, but my hopup was messed up to begin with, i just bought the hopup unit off of evike for $15 or you could get the metal one for $17 but really, don't mess with the hopup of an aeg, its different for every model and once it breaks consider it toast.

Um, what? The hopup is the first thing you should change especially in clone AEG's. Also, the hopups are the same for most guns, you just have to find out whether it's a one piece or two piece hopup.

Lol, this was settled awhile ago. Also, the reason i took the gun apart was to get it firing (motor was running but no bbs fired, they weren't chambering. After i got it together again it still had the same problem. After I removed the spring from the hop up (took one from a pen and cut it down to size then super glued it on, worked same as old one) the gun started firing again. However now I only have full auto on it (lost the spring that holds the thingy in place for the semi auto piece in the gearbox.
