I don't mean to be rude but iif you are going to produce shirts please use your own graphics.
When creating my designs i try to maintain the highest amount of integrity in each.
All i ask is you have the same amount of respect.
- whether profit is involved is irrelevent.
thanks ;D

I do not wish for my work to be combination with anyone else’s unless a prior agreement has been made.
My request comes not from anything personal or your alleged level of expertise.
The matter in question is integrity and ethics.
Work which I present is not clip art.
The practice of using anyones work for reference purposes is allways encouraged and appropriate.
My statement as so presented has no conections to "credit" in design. This is something based on design ethics.
Any designer would find it a reasonable request.

Infamous deleted:
Infamous, if Gestapo had claimed the entire design to be his own, that's when you can accuse him of bad integrity. He didn't steal your work and try to pass it off as his own, everybody on this forum knows that you came up with the deisgn. When you write a paper (that's right, you don't do that. When other students write a paper), they take ideas from other writers, either directly as quotes or indirectly by paraphrasing. As long as the student doesn't claim that those thoughts are his own, then there is nothing wrong with using them. Talk to anybody who deals with academic integrity on a regular basis (that would be teachers). Furthermore, unless you copyrighted the design, there really isn't anything you can do, although that's a pretty shitty cop out in this case.
Practically, you're being a tight ass about your design. We're all apart of SEMIA here, and you submitted a graphic in a brainstorming activity to come up with some sort of logo. The key word there is brainstorming. That's taking each others ideas and manipulating them to come up with new, possibly better options. That's what gestapo did, and he's still using the graphic for its intended purpose. If you can't accept other people manipulating your work to come up with a better design for the exact same purpose, then don't submit anymore work. You're not a professional and SEMIA isn't a client. Either get off your high horse and work with the group or keep your designs to yourself. I'm so fucking sick of your arrogance.

My arrogance you just basically lowered yourself to the degree of a "two" year old with your above statement.
I was actually somewhat agreeing with you untill i read that statement also.

Damo, i dont see a penny of the money, the money is sent to the company which is used for the shirts and printing.
If it ever came down to where enough people wanted em, we could raise the price to make money for SEMIAuto

Jesus Christ, you write like a two year old. Do you know what arrogance means? It took me two minutes just to figure out that what you meant to say was "You have lowered my respect of you to a level I would have of a two year old." __________________ Knief wrote:

Reading is fundamental. "...although that's a pretty shitty cop out in this case," means that your inability to legally prevent gestapo from using your design isn't a very good argument in this case. Of course, you can't write a complex sentence, so why should I expect you to be able to comprehend one.
This is very similar to a term paper, only less serious. A term paper is done for a grade, for advancement in an educational insititution, and evetually for a job. This is for fun, a little design to represent a team of big boys who play with glorified toy guns. Take your head out of your ass, learn how to read, learn how to write, and grow the fuck up. All I hear out of you is "I'm the best because I spend lots of money on my guns and I'm a professional graphic designer," and "mineminemine!"

WOAHHH, let's back up the truck.
***Beep, Beep, Beep.****
Okay, now that we've backe up the truck, lets slow down the flame war.
Honestly though guys, hostility isn't exactly a good team-building tactic. If you have beef, please continue it in the form of PM, so we can get this thread back on topic.
For the record, I have to agree with Knief, there is no reason a graphic designed for SEMIA should not be used for a SEMIA tee. In all honesty, I would be HONORED to have MY graphic considered for a t-shirt. Come on! That's just cool!
Please:
-Thread back on topic. -Fight it out in PM, or just settle it if necessary.
Thanks much, Jack.
