Yeah for all of you who Actuly know where Cheboygan is, its a small town 30 mintues from Makinaw city.
I was up at my cottage one week when me and my Dad went to go shoot guns at this old quarry that is not in use. There are a great number of big gravel hills that you can go on, and a bunch of random large wood boards and bullet riddled targets propain tanks, ect. set up Its sorounded by thick vacent woods, which i frequently see paintball markings on, so it must be used for that reason, but im sure it would be real fun for airsoft.
There is one big downside however, it is a 4.5-5 hour drive there from my house in livonia, so its a little unreal for a local game but i came up with an idea; we could scedual like an intire weekend of non-stop play (Exmp. one team starts in the woods one defends the quarry, CTF ect.). There is also a small campsite about 8 miles down the road at a famos bar/grill called the bluffs were u can stay and camp at real cheap but, luckey for me, my cottage is a meer 5 minute drive away, and i go there alot on my moped to have 3 on 3 springer wars.

Yeah, A 5 hour drive with fuel prices the way they are now aint gonna do for smaller weekend games.
This would be PERFECT for a much larger op. say 50 to 75 people!
Start brainstorming people. we got a killer place to host an OP now!

HAHA!, i remembered somthing, about 2 minutesfrom the quary i just expained, is another one thats bigger and is in a huge ditch with more cover.
so if we couldnt get a game at the other quary, we could get one hear
OR, seeing as how all that is beetween the two is thick vacent woods, and there only like a mile a half mile apart we could do somthing like each team get a quarry as a base, just a thought.

Unless there are roads between the quarry....then that is no good.
Sounds alright, when you mean ditch, do you mean ditch as in a flat open area, kinda like a field, or what?

No, theres no roads between the two. And if you know what a sink hole is, that is what i mean by ditch ( steep walls go down each side) O btw, we really, realllly dont want to have any games there from may-end of august, because it gets extreamly hott. PICS!!! I was wrong on the distance between the two quaries, but there is a sweet savana type thing beteen the quary and a treeline/woods area. I got a sattelite picture of where the Quary is, how big it is and its surroundings so you can see whats its like....Sorry about the bad quality  |

Looks doable for games if some structures are added, or possibly junky old vehicles. It looks far too Open to be a good enough spot to play for the distance to drive though. Unless you're driving me minime ;D.

Yeah i know it looks open but its really not, theres liek small trees and medium sized boulders and a LOT of brush, like i said, its liek an african sahvana
o and as far as old cars its perfect because no one gos back there so we wouldnt have to worry about people getting rid of them, but how we would get them there is the hard part, cause my dad really dossnt suport me in airsoft (he was in nam, dosnt liek the hole people shooting people thing) so we couldnt use my cottages trailer, but we might be able if El talks to him (responsible adult ect.)
O and about lodging, theres theese rental cabins down the road from my house, and for a price of liek 50 a weekend, i think its pretty well worth it (50 dollars a cabin not a person, 1 room 2 beds kitchen bathroom thats like 25 a person) and if you dont want to spend the $25 you could camp rite on the field (if your crazy).
