When: Saturday July 14th
Time: nonstop 0900 – 1600 hrs.
Where: Springfield (4624 Dayton Springfield RD, Springfield, OH 45502)

Fee: $25 pre-pay only

Age Requirement: Minimum of 14 years of age (all persons under 18 must have a respected member of an established airsoft team vouch for them, and MUST have a waiver noterized by a proper notary public)

Type: Milsim (with props).

Battle Dress Requirements:
Insurgents side: All Clothing resembling Middle eastern costumes or any BDUs that are Green or Dark. (Jeans and civilian clothing are okay) This includes, woodland pattern of any type(digi or otherwise),tiger stipe, marpat, urban, and anything else dark.
STAY AWAY FROM BROWNS/TANS/ACUs. Try and look the part of an insurgent!

US Side: Desert BDUs including 3 color, 6 color, desert tiger stripe, multi cam.
- EOD Engineers: Anything tan, including multicam. Helmets only please.
- US seal escorts: Any thing tan. Ball caps, boonies, anything but helmets.
- US Rangers: ACUs. Any head gear is allowed.

short intro story:
An explosives factory was found hidden outside the sacred village of Al Najaf by a forward recon team. Special Forces (Rangers) units were deployed to take and occupy the village, provide supplies to civilians, and investigate the factory.
The Special Forces team was ambushed by an overwhelming force of insurgants. reconnaissance had not uncovered this large threat and was unable to communicate the danger in time.
What was to be a routine mission in the village, turned to a bloodbath as the Rangers were driven to a quick retreat. A small chopper was able to evac two critically wounded Rangers, but the rest of the force was left behind to fight for their survival as IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) made light work of their vehicles….

There will be no lunch break because it would inturrupt the flow of the game, so bring snacks and what not to eat on the field.

Some additional rules I garnered from browsing the thread:
- Kids under 18 aren't allowed to have guns shooting over 400 FPS.
- 500 FPS limit on semi-automatic rifles, still 550 FPS for bolt action.

While I really do kinda agree with the responsibility rule of 400 FPS. I disagree with it in my case, this looked promising, and it's unfortunate to hinder somebody's ability to play based on their ability to have an upgraded gun. Poor show.

Agreed.

I thought it would be fun to play insurgent with my garand, but I have to know what it chronos beforehand. I dont see any need to have diffrent rules between bolt action and semi-only

Additional note about the playing location - I believe it's The Strikers' field; in the past, they've hosted one of the Op: Northern Wind games.

It is at the Strikers' field, which is the host to the Blind Fury series, hosted Op. Black Aurora 2, and was the former host the the Northern Wind series.

skypilot - do you want to carpool or anything? I'm not sure if I'm going yet since it's a little far, but it would be cool to go to, and I have a friend in Findlay (halfway between Ann Arbor and Springfield) that I could visit.

I need to check my on-call schedule at work and CG, and i'll let you know. There's an airport 4 1/2 miles away. I'm thinking of flying and getting a taxi to and from the airport, or getting a rental.
