this whole debate over if its legal in detroit is a little bit ridicolus. Why would anyone in a city where people getting shot every day with REAL guns, people selling REAL drugs would be considered about a bunch of white kids playing a legit game? get real people stop being panzies. Last time we played it was awesome, excecpt no one thought it prudent to actually show up.

Because we need to take everything into consideration. We wouldn't like our little party crashed by police for any reason. I realize the chances of anything happening are slim to none and I may be more likely being killed on the way to the game, but we need to cover our asses in every way possible. From the looks of it we have them covered well enough.

First, we don't need you attitude on this board or at our games. People who think they are l33t or doesn't think anything would happen because they are a white kid playing airsoft in Detroit are the people who give airsoft a bad name.

Secondly, why is it only white kids play airsoft? Why can't a black person play? Or are you saying it's a white man's sport???

Lastly, The Detroit police (and other police departments) don't have the time to investigate calls that there are people running around with a weapon! And as a result, they will arrest you and sort it out later. As conscript said, we are taking everything into consideration so THE POLICE DON'T CRASH THE GAME FOR ANY REASON.

Just because the police didn't crash it before, doesn't mean they won't ever stop and pay a visit.

My friend chris here is just sick of people making excuses not to go to detroit. Sure, some sections may be shady - but not downtown, where we're playing is actually not too bad, especially with the Lions' games goin on, there's lots of people around.

Police WON'T crash this. Since it is on private property, I don't think they would care at all.

Quit making this such a racial issue. He, perhaps wrongly, generalized about this being a "white" sport.

its because there are only a few people here who actually ENJOY cqb. i don't really get too excited for it, and i will play it if it's at a game i'm at, but i just dont feel like, bringing a change of clothes, all my gear boxed up, anything airsoft related hidden, just to play in a club.

I too am not crazy about going downtown or really cqb games in general, but with such a great price and seeing that it is a rare oppertunity, I look forward to this. Now by hidding anything airsoft, do you mean keep your vests and bdu's in back packs and guns in say gun bags, or do we need more percaution for this equipment? I'm on black along with my friends, they lack bdu's so they will wear all black cloths, will they need to not look like a goth kid?

this is a reply to sky pilot, in regards to my "attitude" I am sorry about my generalization about this game being a white man's game, my point is that the Detroit Police Deparment has more important things to worry about than an airsoft game. I am quite sure that the last time this game went off, vegas made it a point to tell the Police what was going on. Thats all that needs to done. Plus, anyone with a basic understanding of consitutional law will know that the Police can't enter private property without a search warrant, or exigent circumstances i.e. someone's life is in danger or if we're dumb enough to let them in.

Just relax everyone, come out and play! It was fun last time and it will be even be better if everyone shows.

Chrisp, I think you said it right there... "exigent circumstances i.e. someone's life is in danger." since the people/police don't know if the weapon is real or not, The POLICE will enter! Oh, and good luck not letting them in.

Granted Vegas will inform them, however, again like I said...it's Detroit. And communication isn't the best, and there's no guarantee that this will be communicated to the officers in the field.

I'm not saying you can't play. I'm saying be very careful! Football game, people with sub-machine guns, tach gear, gun cases, etc.. all spells a nice recipe for some dumb ass to think there's a terrorist plot happening. And if the police, FBI, etc do show up, I suggest you co-operate.

Ok settle down people. Sky we know your concerned, thats always good because without people like you someone will show up waving their gun in the air and wonder why they are being arrested. Chris and mp81, he is just here to point out what we should do to prevent any incidents, I know vegas already layed out the game plan along with some percautions to prevent anyproblems, but skypilot is giving us some more good ideas to prevent any problems. Personally I think the precautions vegas layed out are good enough for us to be playing in a basement, but knowing that common sense isn't common anymore we need to beat a dead horse and keep telling you to be carefull. I agree we may not get the amount of people we want because they are afraid of Detriot, but I think we also have a large amount of people who just don't care about cqb games or somethings going on, those that want to play will show up, no amount of saying its safe and calling people panzys is going to change their minds.
