Hey, you might know me from some of the recent games we (FSI) have hosted at R.J.s Paintball (Islamic-Bosnian Conflict, and the FSI Flint Monthly Op) and I was wondering about what kind of interest there would be in a stealth type of airsoft game.
To do this, a small team of very well equipped players, (I think 12 would be best) would be given a set of objectives to complete against a larger, but less well equipped force.
The defending team would be told to defend a large number of objectives, not knowing which ones were actually important to the attacking team. To make things fair, the game would be started by the attacking force (12 man team) anytime after the defenders have been in the field for 20 mins. In other words, the defenders don't know exactly when the attack is coming. This means that safety rules are on as soon as they step in the field.
The attacking team would be given a detailed map entailing which of the objectives they need to secure, as the defenders will not know which ones they are after. They would begin their attack anytime after the defenders have been on field for 20 mins. This element of surprise is to offset any imbalance between the teams.
The attacking team would consist of:
2 Snipers
2 Sawgunners
2 Combat engineers
6 Riflemen
to be divided as necessary.
If you have ever played Ghost recon, the game should feel something like that.
Of course, this wouldn't take up the whole day, but as a first scenario in a day full of events, I think it would be great. Post any ideas or concerns you may have. If this goes over well, I'll talk to my team, and we'll try to set it up.
