Okay - I know this isn't exactly South and East, but all are welcome to the north woods for a good game, I've been to plenty down there and I'd like to reciprocate in kind.
June 9th (Saturday), 12:00 NOON, Ptobego Marsh and Natural Area, off of US-31 South of Elk Rapids, MI. (20 minutes out of Traverse City, MI)
This is a scheduled event and we have 7 guys in on it so far, since we decided on it this morning. I'd like to see you guys come up and have a great time, this is a very neat area with awesome terrain.

It's state owned land. Be sure to talk to the DNR about playing there before the game.

Well, when talking to the DNR as I've done before they have no say legally to tell you yay-or-nay about the use of the land - since it is public.
All of the times they're cool about it - but FYI kneif they can't tell you YES because they're not the landowners, and they can't tell you NO either.

Um...It's public land meaning it's owned by the local government. Since the Department of Natural Resources is a government branch, yes they can say if you play and if you don't.

Either way, if you're seen brandishing a weapon in a public place, fake or not, that is illegal.
If you continue to play there, you're well on your way to drawing more negative attention to the sport.
