Well let'ss start shooting some dates around let's start somewhere in January, December is to busy to gather a group. I'll go snap some pictures this week and post them up, I'm leaving friday for Mexico and I won't be back til the near the end of December. OpDoc where did you price the bio's? Is it a webiste I can look at, the club wants to buy the BB's in mass and then retail them there along with gas and a few misc. things.

This sounds great, I know exactly where it is too. I would be willing to go so count me in once you figure out the rest of the info. I'll only really be able to come after Christmas. It might be me +1. Hopefully we get a good enough group that they do an actual field, that would be tight.

Sorry for the double post. As for the field they are going to build, we can used whatever, the field is going to take some time to build. Does that mean they are definently going to be building that field? 'Cause that would be intense.

Are they willing to take input from players? Or at least run our ideas to you and then you pass some along to them? That's pretty exciting anyhow, do you know where it will be located? *Edit* ^ Or is it adjacent or part of their current land?

Yea if you have any sugesstions let me know.

I love how this place is within walking distance of my house... The funny part is, I almost died there when I was like 10. Me and my friend Steve were playing around in an old junk yard, and there was a trail that went up a huge ass hill. So we went up the hill like any curious child would, and found our selfs down range... Luckily the only people that were using the range were packing up their gear, after they noticed us... we got kicked out. At the time we didn't really know what was going on but now we just look back on it and laugh. ;D

At the time we didn't really know what was going on but now we just look back on it and laugh. ;D LOL, thats would have sucked if you popped up 1 minute earlier. Could have been my girlfriend's father! Anyway, I'm thinking of attaching two building with a "bridge" going from the 2nd story of one building to the other. It will be awhile until the feild is up, becuase with this addition I'm sure alot of the member's will want to get in on it. They will have their input as well. The biggest part of the discussion is how much cash do we have upfront to work with and get the field ready, after a few events are held there and they see how much we can bring in, then we can add even more. From what I have heard so far they plan on changing the coarse up by adding new things each year, whihc would be nice, something new each year. If you look at their picture's of the western thing they do the building don't look like 2x4's and ply wood they look like real buildings and are all painted up and what not. So i guess we'll see what happen's this is alot of work it's not going to appear over night. One more thing, they we're discussing discounted event's for member's, member's will be able to use the field club house range and everything else there if you get into real guns as well. I know for the public to use the range it cost like $15 and for a member it was like $4, which is a nice discount. Not to mention you can walk around the parking lot which is right on dequindre with your M4's and all your other gun's and never have to worry about the police becuase it is private property, so there will not be a need for a staging area.

From what your discribing, it sounds like they are going towards more a of a MOUT field than CQB, which I think is great.
As for connected buildings on the second floor, I am 50/50 on it. It may allow for more dynamic play, but I don't know of too many buildings like that in the real word. With that said, if you have multiple buildings and only some are connected in that way I would probably be all for it.
My feeling is that in a simulated MOUT environment you need to recreate the taking of one building at a time then moving out on foot, at ground level, to the next one.
/2 cents

I didn't see anything for this in Schedualed games and was curious.....whats the latest.
Did this game take off yet?, do you guys need help on the field? what ever the situation I'm, sure S.F.O.D. would come maybe 10-12 of us. Just wondering what the progress of this is?

We're going to do both, they said we can you the archery field until the airsoft field is built. It's really hard to describe everything to the owners. As of right now we have just been having meetings discussing the field layout and what we need to start getting. My main problem is trying to find a few busted up cars that wont run and look like they have been in a war and we are going to put a few down the main street by the building like they were parked cars in the middle of a war zone. Our look is going to be like something you see in a war scene like Iraq or something. But like I mentioned, the owner can't get a good grasp as to what goes out at an airsoft game so they were going to come out to SFOD field to see what goes on before they let us in the field. But seeing how cold the weather is supposed to be we might reschedual them coming out. Their just going to be standing there, I don't really want them to freeze.
