Theres this kid that sits across from me in algebra rite, and im talking about guns to this one kid and the kid next to me gos "o since you know so much about guns, how far dos a .55 caliber sniper rifle shoot" so the obvious answer to that question "dude there is no such thing as a .55 sniper rifle" "o yeah there is my grandpa who was a green baret in ww2 told me they shoot two miles" well ok, now im really suspisious cause A wernt the green berets founded in like the 50s and B grandpas are usuly old and senial and drag on and not know what the hell there talking about and C its not going to shoot 2 miles acuratly unless theres some lob. so we argue back and forth and i remember somthing " O maby your gramps was talking about the .55 boyes anti tank rifle" he just says "no it was a sniper rifle" and im like "well was it actuly a barret .50 sniper/antivehicle rifle "no it was .55 caliber" on and on and on he tells me im worng and start getting pissed so i serched to internet intent on proving him wrong and i dont find crap on a (as it sounds like when he says it) "fity five calibur snipa riflal"

so if there is a such thing (i told him to go find it online and bring me a pic) im going to feel like a compleat idiot

So back to my Question Dont Ya hate it when stuff like this happens, your rite and your 100% sure and someone tells you your not.

And i also love how everyone else that posted in here didnt say anything negitive towards me, but then u need to come out and call me a dumbass because because i had an argument with a kid about gun and now im stuck on proving him wrong, dos it really matter that much.
and about posting alot, im a noob and im interested, i have a lot of questions that i cant find answers to so i put them hear, cry about it, its not liek it effects anything

Minime, if you post like a dumbass, expect to be labeled a dumbass. You did a dumbass thing by continuing the argument in the first place. The graceful thing to do is to say, "as far as I know, X. I could be mistaken X is what I know." That you were so affected by such an asinine argument atests to your immaturity. You're not dealing with 13 year olds here. If you can't at least attempt to act like a young adult, then don't post.

Being new is no excuse for posting every bit of airsoft information that you learn.

If you can't keep your excitement contained, squee about it to teejay. If you can't find the answers on your own, then you're not putting enough effort into searching. It does affect things at least as far as forums go (let's face it, I'm not going to stay up at night worrying about this shit). 1) I come to airsoft forums to read interesting things about airsoft, not the same shit that was posted about last October. If somebody got the jump on me and found out about a new TM release before me, I'd want them to post it. When I open a thread that promises that, and it's a bunch of stuff that I heard about a year ago, I get a little bit annoyed. 2) People read this forum, and they will form an overall opinion of it and its members based on the content of the forum. If we want people to take us seriously, both in terms of the information we have to offer and the quality of our games, we need to portray a certain level of competence. Threads like this one and posts about releases from last year deteriorate our image to the outside airsoft community. It's the same reason why I care if some dumbass waves his airsoft gun around in a public place. It makes the entire airsoft community look bad. You see, it does matter what you post. That also applies to the structure of your posts. Can't you at least attempt proper grammar? It's really not that hard. "Your" is an adjective, it modifies a noun by claiming that "you" poses it. You're is a contraction of "you" and "are." The first word is the subject and the second word is the verb. They are the basic parts of a clause in most languages. English is your native language and you still can't use it.

You know what I hate? Ignorance.
