That's quite a bit more thorough. Thank you, piratevalkyrie.

Well, there are diffrences between Michigans laws and the federal laws. You have to abide by both. Under federal law, a "sheidan" style air gun (.20 caliber) is NOT a firearm. Under Michigan law, that same air gun IS a firearm, because its caliber is greater then .177 Good find Cullen and PirateValkyrie

El, Pirate's link is to the laws of the state of Michigan, he misspoke. Either way, you do have to abide by both of them, although generally, state law will superscede federal law as long as you don't commit a federal offense, because you'll be arrested by state or city officers and be tried in a Michigan Court ruled by Michigan laws. -----
Here's a handy tip from my former law professor. There has only been one government sanctioned execution in Mighigan. The killer decided that it would be a good idea to dump the body in a National Park, which made his crime a federal offense, which made him subject to federal law, which made him subject to the death penalty. The tip is, if you kill somebody, don't dump the body on federal land or cross state lines, even if you cross right back. Dump the body in a state park and stay in Michigan (I don't know if the bridge is state or federal property, so keep it in the lower penninsula while you're at it).

As far as I could tell, both documents were about the Michigan gun laws. For the NRA's link, all you have to do to see another state's laws is change the "mi" to a different state code. Like so: www.nraila.org/GunLaws/State/State.aspx?st=ohThe content varies greatly between say... California and Oregon.
