OK first off, let me settle a few things before I get on with my point. The next few paragraphs may be a bit difficult to understand completely, I'm having trouble voicing and typing sentences right now, because I have to take a whole. shit. ton, and I mean...ALOT of (PRESCRIBED TO ME) Adderal and Darvocet/Methadone....Medications ...I hate it. The amount of Adderal I have to take is enough have almost the same effect of a mild crystal meth trip ...I hate it even more. it causes me to talk so much, so fast that I'm surprised I don't talk throughout all 8 hours of sleep (if only I could sleep...). So I can figure stuff out, really really well in my head, and I can think better, but writing it all down or explaining it is near impossible.
Expect a lot of run-on, and incomplete sentences, and a lot more of me rambling. Once again I'm sorry, it shouldn't be to hard to understand if you don't mind all the rambling.
(As you can see I've already typed 2 paragraphs, and nothing in either of them has anything to do with what this thread is about. I really just feel like I need to type alot. and fast.)
Ok...Finally...to the point.
Taken from a Myspace message I sent to one of my friends
By the way, does government theory/development interest you at all? What I mean is, like, Would you join a club that
talks about government, New forms/opinions of government, Your own created forms/opinions of government, and in the end come to a conclusion with other group members, and form...a
new...maybe better way to run a Government and country, and test your new form of government over a short period of time (3-7 days), on real people in a "Fake" country.
The amount of Adderal I'm on really got my brain working and gave me some good fucking ideas about an after school club, that could meet like 1-2 times a week. You have to be 100% committed however, because every meeting the same people would come and we would, by the end of the year, develop what we, as 14-18 year olds, think would be the ideal form of government/Way to run a country. Everyone could put out there ideas during the meetings. Then when we feel we have Created the best form (Deciding if our idea covers all Major issues a gov. faces including Basic Government Outline , Laws, Tax laws, population issues , Militaristic Issues/Policy, Drug policy, Foreign affairs/policy, Domestic affairs/policy, Economy, Welfare, Heath care, Schooling, Law enforcement, and anything else that needs to be covered, and possibly some other issues that may surface with our new ideas.)
Now, If you have actually been reading this far, and have actually processed and thought about what has been said, then any person with a brain would have some interest in this idea. If you just kind of read through, and not payed attention, or cared, then I advise two things.
A: Go get some Adderal.
B: Start from the beginning, and read it over.
I need a good amount of people to commit to this for it to actually work out like planned because at the end of the year, or whenever we have established a fool proof plan on how to run a country, and we have good, survivable weather, I want to take the club's members, and get a bunch of volunteers from school or wherever, to spend anywhere from 3-7 days in a safe, and accommodating area Be it woods, someones house...in school during a break? (Or at the beginning of summer in the school???) Depending on how many other non-club volunteers we get to come, we will do one of the following.
[glow=red,2,300]Nubrushia:[/glow] (1) n A small, temperate, woodland country not seen on any of the worlds maps. The reason it isn't seen is because it is being created, by high school students to test out if they have what it takes to successfully create, and manage a nation. (2) n A fictional nation shook by civil war created by crude rowdy MI airsofters for use in 2005's Operation: Red Out.
[glow=red,2,300]Project:[/glow] NUBRUSHIA 2008
(Actions to take for a large amount {15-infinity volunteers, 5-20 group members} of non-club volunteers)
Plan A's steps:
1. Well before we have a date and time of the activity, the group will spend one full meeting day filling government occupation spots. The number, and individual responsibility of each job fully depends on however the group sets the government up.
2. Establish, write out, and print a complete List of Laws, and any other document that may be required for your country.
3. Check and make sure every issue a government faces has been dealt with. Of coarse as you may know certain issues may pop up along the way and alter this step, so this step is something that will be checked and altered all the way through the project.
4. Design and print up a country layout. Including Housing, Capitol, and, federal buildings (Police station, Fire...bucket, jail, Small schools?).
5. Establish a way of trade/currency. Draw print up all if any currency notes you may need. (Again this will take a lot of planning to figure out how much money needs to be printed, and we have to be as realistic as possible)
6. Go search for volunteers! This is a big step that may be extremely easy, or extremely hard. Print fliers, make slogans...bottom line, get as many people as we can, (Or as many as our "Country's" location can accommodate for.) To act as citizens of our country. These people will do that same things as you and I do everyday. (See Citizens article at the end of this outline)
7. Get any and all necessary supplies we will need to survive. Food, Medical supplies, shelter, fuel, tools, not to extreme...but still essential building materials, etc.
*NOTE* All funding needed for supplies must be done either by donation, group members, volunteers, eager parents, school?, LPS committee?, fund raisers.
8. Pack up, organize, and execute. Get everyone involved in the project together, and move to set location and set up the government. Preferable time for project: as long as we can stay out there, and stay sane and organized.
(Actions to be taken in case of a low turnout of volunteers
Plan B:
1: The only step that changes from plan A. Instead of useing all the group members to run the gov. some will volunteer to be citizens.
2-7
Optional step 9: Instead of going all out and using real people we would substitute Real life with another planned out/discussed decision on how to test it.
Citizen article.
The more non-group volunteers we get the better. Because the more we get, the bigger the population. The bigger the Pop, the more complex and realistic the project will be. If we get -lets say- like...5 volunteers, it's pretty much gonna suck, and will most likely ruin the project. It is imperative to get as many volunteers as humanly possible. Ask everyone! Their duties in our "Nation" will be to build shelter(s), hold mock jobs that are essential for survival, provide services, and keep the country running strong. Any age is acceptable for this role...However, we will need a good amount of adults per minor. Safety and Legal reason behind that are quite obvious. But we also don't want the place filled with only Adults. This is a high school project, for high school students and it is meant to simulate a controlled, and organized sample of power, and also a sample of what it is like to be powerless. Even if you do not have a position of power, you will have an occupation that will keep you full of work everyday. Citizens "fit for work" (in other words, able to carry out everyday jobs without any serious problem.) If you are "Unfit for work," ex: broken limb, missing limb? If you are blind, deaf, weak, too old (Or too young.) etc, then you will be assigned other jobs, such as cooking, teaching, basically all the physically un-stressful jobs that need to be done. Anyone, from anywhere can sign up to be a citizen, it will be something that I expect to fun, fulfilling and might teach you something about life...literally.
Comments, suggestions, and criticism all welcome.
Dude, it's 4:30 in the AM, And I can't fucking sleep. I wouldn't even sleep if you gave me the worlds supply of morphine right now. I'm still talking a mile a minute, everything I could ever think at one time Is being thought in my head right now, it sounds like theres a funnel-sounding noise inside my brain, it wont go away and everything you just read was written in 8 minutes. I kept track.
I thought of all that, wrote it down and sent it...in 10 minutes.
Fuck.
I need some sleep, school starts in 3 hours...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm way to out of it to check all that again, so I apologize for any confusing parts or anything I left out. I'll add anything necessary tomorrow. I just need an opinion to find out if all the effort was worth it, or any suggestions you have.
Oh yeah...Club name: Governmental Philosophy.
