S.F.O.D. Battle For Hue AUG 10th

Vietnam 1968, the ancient city of Hue. The North Vietnamese Army preps for a massive invasion of Hue. They plan to attack late at night hitting key tactical targets in the area. They target the U.S. Embassy and MACV compound, and the ARVN Barracks.
Late at night they move into position and comence their attack. They breech the city with elite Sapper Comandos and quickly take up positions and begin assaulting their targets.

The small MP unit posted at the Embassy fight off waves of NVA troops while others begin to evacuate. At the same time they assault the ARVN and american MACV compounds, which also manage to hold their own. The main NVA force moves into the city to over-run their targets, all the while a large group of U.S. Marines move in to re-take the city. Several attempts to enter the city end in massive casualties, so the Marines pull back regroup and devise a new strategy to gain a foot-hold into the city.

Using this strategy the marines gain access into the city, and begin sweeping the streets en-route to their objective locations to aid and relieve the besieged troops. This is the start for the battle for Hue.

Well it looks good so far for the whole 313th to be joining the fray, but we need to know about ACU/ABUs so we know what team to sign up for.

Don't take my word for it, but ACU is generally on the desert based side. Like multicam, it's a tan and green base camo, so it's harder to tell you one way or the other. But because of how light it is, it tends to fit in more with the lighter tan's on the desert camo side. I have no idea where ABUs might end up.

Well ABUs are the same color scheme as the ACUs, but in a Tiger Stripe pattern, as opposed to the ACUs random pattern. I no longer fit into my Army issued BDUs or DCUs, so I only have ACUs, with another member of our team only having Air Force issued ABUs, therefore if ACU/ABU winds up in the NVA classification, we will have to go as NVA, as that gives us the option of wearing civvies for those who don't have anything else in that category.

Yeah ABUs are really a tiger stripe scheme of ACU so it's still on the Desert side.
