Green gas is a waste of money. You spend $10 on a can that lasts you a few games, and then you have to spend another $10. Get yourself a propane adaptor (available at a lot of places, but the original is for sale here: airsoft-innovations.com/GunGas.html) and use Coleman grill fuel propane. It's significantly cheaper and the exact same stuff you get in a bottle of green gas, except without the lubricant. This is a much better way to go. I don't know too many people who still use green gas.

Also the green gas bottles that I looked at said it was good for 3000+ rounds so considering that's a side arm and I'd have only 3 spare mags@15 rounds each wouldn't green gas be ok?

Well, look at it this way. A propane tank hold twice the amount of propane as a green gas can. A green gas can is $10 and a propane tank is $3.

Green gas is propane. It's not going to be any more dangerous to use propane. Plus, you probably shouldn't be doing a whole lot of shooting in your apartment.
A green gas can will never be good for 3000 rounds. Not only that, they can never tell you how many rounds you can fire in a can of gas. That number depends on a whole fuck ton of things, including the type of gun you have, how effeciently you can fill your mags, how rapidly you shoot your gun, the ambient temperature when you're shooting, the ambient temerature when you fill, and probably the price of tea in China. There's no way you can pinpoint how many shots you can get out of a single can of gas. But I can promise you this. You can shoot more out of a can of propane than you can out of a can of green gas.

Tea in china.. lol. Anyhow i was reading the review for the AI adapter on airsoftgi and it said that it can leak some with smaller containers of propane. If you know of a good adapter for propane I might try it. I was thinking of this ( www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_48&products_id=4796 ). Does propane increases fps, red gas is more propane than green gas and red gas increases fps over green gas. Also how big would a cheap 2-3 dollar container be (I wana go with something small) and what extra maintenance do you have to do for the lack of silicon spray in propane.

Ok, I don't know how to make this any more simple.
GREEN GAS is chemically THE EXACT SAME as PROPANE. The only difference is that propane is unlubed. Performance is the same, FPS is the same, cooldown is the same.
With regards to the adapter, Madbull has hands-down the best propane adapter on the market right now.

Yes I know green gas is propane with lube and fire retardant in it. But what I want to know is how big a thing of propane would be-like the size of a spray paint can or what? And don't you have to do extra maintenance (cleaning or lubing) with propane. If so what and how often.

Click Knief's link, it shows a can of propane, it's about twice as wide and a tiny bit shorter than a can of green gas. No extra maintainence is required for propane but you do have to make sure you lube the mags (use the Madbull Silicon lube port if you get that adapter and it'll do it FOR you) as well as the slide of the weapon.

Um, there's no need to do anything special, throw it under your bed or something. They come with venting ports so even if you leave it in the sun (don't though, if you can help it) nothing's going to explode.
