Me and my friends have been playing airsoft for a long time just in the back yard and stuff, nothing to serious. My gun is a Double Eagle M83 and it is a piece of crap. My friends have started getting mid-end AEG's and want to start getting serious. I have been researching good guns and have found a few but I am wondering what type I should get. My limit would be $150. I found a JG MP5 that looks good but would that be good for these type of events? Here is the link to the MP5: www.hitguns.com/JG-KP5-SD5-Metal-Mechbox-Airsoft-Electric-Gun-SMG-p/jg-068-m5-sd5.htmOr should I go more along the lines of a G36c or M4/M16? A link to a perfect gun would be great if possible. Thanks ;D

The type of gun you would want is your choice, but we could help you with the brand/price range. Right away, most people would tell you "get a better gun. One that costs $$$$$$$". Personally, for 150 you could get Exactly this: www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_44_218&products_id=28441But the JG mp5 really isn't that bad itself. It would serve as a good AEG to get yourself into the game. As for MP5's, you are fairly limited to Echo1, JG, CYMA and G&G as far as MP5's go, meaning those brands are about the only ones that give a decent AEG for your price range.

I either want a M4, M16, G36c, or MP5 and for under $150. Brand doesn't matter I just want power and accuracy.

I'd recommend a G&G sportline, then buy an aftermarket Tight-bore Barrel.

If your looking to make your purchase soley based off of Power, then you may want to rethink that. Accuracy can vary. You shouldn't buy a gun just because it has a high FPS. 330-400 fps and is the norm. If your replica is shooting over 410fps, then you will be restricted to Semi-Auto ONLY based on MiA FPS regulations for events.
Again, try the G&G sportsline series. They make good affordable and accurate guns.

Just search on any airsoft retail website. They would be under "AEG's" or "Airsoft Electric Rifles", then under "G&G Sportsline".
Try Airsoft GI or Evike for starts. We are not going to do the research for you.

You'd need goggles before you need a gun. www.botachtactical.com/bolt8gog.htmlThose are the best goggles I have ever used, they almost never ever fog and they give you FULL field of vision while also being super low profile so you can look down the iron sights of most replicas. Keep in mind though that whatever goggles you decide to go with, they need to be ANSI Z78.1 compliant, for safety purposes. All paintball goggles will fall into this category, however, nearly NO snowboard goggles will work. Other than the obvious ammo and mag's. That's all you need.

I was looking to get a good gun so I shopped around for 3 weeks and I found the G3A3. It is a CQB weapon of sorts and it is only $91 so the rest of your money can be sunk into upgrades. ********* **SPECS** ********* FPS: 360 RANGE: 150-200 ft. CLIP SIZE: 350 wind up Hi-Cap ACC RANGE: 120 Ft.
I bought it from airsplat.com

G3A3Master, all CQB games in Michigan have a 350 fps limit in order to be field legal, perhaps rethink your purchase or buy a downgraded spring. Please read the Michigan Field Rules before posting again.
