ok well im not trying to be rude, but the M-14 can infact be a support weapon, my vietnam vet neighbor even says it could serve that roll. The M-14 replaced the B.A.R. whtch was infact a support weapon in WWII so the M-14 was BAR of Korea and Vietnam wars. And i still dont understand just because me and my frienda are 16 does not mean we are not good at airsoft, like i said befor this is not our first milsim, we meet all requirements you provided but the the age of course, but we are not the run of the mill kids who play airsoft in our backyards with spring gus. We have good guns and equipment that meet your standards. And between the four of us id 100 dollers to you to make this milsim even better for everybody. So just because we are 16 and you have never played airsoft with us dose not mean we are not any good, and it is not like we will mess anything up, cheat or destroy property. I hope you see things our way and reconsider your decision, i think my friends and i would be good company for this airsoft milsim. Broncoman 15

We're not looking for skill buddy, we're looking for maturity.

Actually, I'm 22.
Regardless of your age, maturity is determined by how you carry yourself. I've seen some incredibly mature 12 year-olds, and some incredibly immature 40 year-olds. However, I would say that the minimum age reflects more so the minimum legal age you can purchase an airsoft gun. The government has already so graciously told us that they think 18 year-olds are mature enough to own one.
Given that this is a forum and that we can't infer tone and inflection, or see your face, we go by what little we do have to judge other members. This is why we require proper capitalization, punctuation, grammar and spelling. Something I suggest you work on, in order to make yourself appear more mature.
Regards,

Well i apologize for my lack of grammer skill, i was never exactily the best grammer student, but i do understand where you are coming from on the whole not knowing me idea, but then again this is a public forum and you will always have random people wanting to play airsoft, but i think you should give me a chance. Just because i am 16 and you have never met me personally does not mean i am a un-mature or illresponsible person, i really think you should give me and my friends a chance, my freinds are just as responsible and mature as me. All i want to do is meet new people to play airsoft with, but all i need is a chance to prove myself, but so far all this has become is an argument about age and equipment. I can understand the whole equipment issue because you want it to be fair to other players, but what i don't understand is the age discrimination toward me and my friends.

Broncoman,
Look at this from our perspective for a minute here. We don't know you very well. What we do know is this:
1)You're 16 2)You think you're mature
That's about it. Now, what does that actually mean to us? It means that a 16 year old is telling us that he's mature. He's not demonstrating it, just saying it. What stops every 16 year old who we've never met from saying the exact same thing? How do we differentiate between you and the next 16 year old who makes the same claim? There is no way for us to do that. Add to that that pretty much all 16 year olds think that they're more mature than their peers, and we have no real reason to allow in any 16 year olds who we don't know.
We run public games nearly every month, with a minimum age limit of 12 no less, for younger players to come out, get some experience, and show us what kind of players they are. It's the kids who come out to those games and demonstrate that they can handle a milsim game who we're going to make exceptions for. If you want to demonstrate your maturity to us, then come out to a No Limits game when they start up again next spring and do it. But until we've gotten to play with you a few times, we're not going to make an exception for you. We just have no basis for making it.
Don't get me wrong, I totally understand where you're coming from. I've been playing airsoft seriously since I was 15, and there were plenty of 18+ games that I missed out on. It's a bummer, but it's a fact of the hobby. There are way more games in Michigan in a month these days than there used to be in a whole year when I started playing. You'll have plenty of chances to come out and sling plastic at bigger games. This just isn't going to be one of them. Come out to some rec games, meet us, show us what you've got, and maybe you will be an exception at our next 18+ game.
Also, for God's sake, please fix your spelling and grammar. Your posts are really hard to read, and that makes them harder to respond to. Most browsers offer a spell check feature, and Proboards has one built in. Then just do a quick proof read before you hit that submit button to make sure you've got everything punctuated and capitalized properly. It'll go a long way toward showing us that you care, and take this seriously. After all, how much can somebody care if they can't be bothered to use their shift key on every "I" in order to come off better to the people who are deciding whether or not he can play in an 18+ game?

Alright, i just thought it would be a little bit easyier to get into a game, but i see your point. And sorry about the grammer, but the truth is i really suck at grammer. But when another rec game comes up, let me know an i will see if i can make it them.

Honestly man I'd love to give you a chance but in fairness to the others that we have already said no to as well as those who didn't bother to ask, we have to stick with certain things.
We have plenty of other games without restrictions that should be coming up soon so you guys are more than welcome to them and I'll personally let you know and make sure there are spots for you and your friends should you chose to attend.

There might be some CQB games coming up in the winter, and after that, No Limits should open around early April. I don't think we're going to actually schedule anything until after Op: Pelea de Manteca is done, though.

I am kind of in the same boat as Broncoman here. I am sixteen and I have been to games with you guys in the past, one of which was the game in July where we had atleast 50 guys there. I don't know if Father_Livonia remembers me or not but I remember having a brief chat with him and if he does remember me I'm sure he would vouch for my maturity level. Also, I've looked but could not find any details regarding the underage games that are held once a month. If someone could just help out with some details on that or atleast exactly where I could find them that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
P.S. I don't believe that Father_Livonia got my online name but if I talked to him about who I was and details about me he may remember me.

The monthly under 18 games are the games at No Limits. They're done for the year, but will start back up again next spring.
