My son is 12 yrs old, has about 20 airsoft guns, gear, etc.... He has never played in an organized event and I am finding that there are no teams, events, etc...geared toward younger kids. It looks like some places will let younger kids play with a signed waiver, total face gear. I hate to just drop him off somewhere to join in an "open" event with no experience. Any suggestions? We are in the westland, livonia, canton area. Thanks

There is a waiver for EVERY airsoft event, regardless. Face protection is a must, too. There too is MTAC, which is in livonia, and has weekly rec games. It is CQB, so full face protection is required. Also, you will get more feedback if you post your concern here: miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi

Just come to a REC game; they're safe, organized, LEGAL, and Fun for all! Usually there is no strict age limit required. Most fielding places are done for the season, but there are plenty Indoor facilities to get some experience into. Please don't ask around where and when though; take the initiative to check events board here, and on the MiA.
