Hello everyone, I am a somewhat of a intermediate airsoft player, but I have about 4-8 friends who want to give airsoft a try. I want to try to give them the best first impressions of the sport I can but I have no idea where I can/should take them for their first game.
I was thinking of taking them to a CQB field so since most of them are use to doing things like playing lazer tag in a close quarters style environments (yes i know they are nothing alike but hey, Ive been longing to get some payback on some of these guys for a while, they will learn fast). I personally have my own gun, side arm, and tactical gear with spare mags, pretty much loaded out for CQB, but everyone else will need to rent a gun at the least.
I have personally been to Close Quarters Tactical on 23 mile road and although it seemed like a nice environment. It is the only CQB place I have been to and it seemed kind of pricey ($30 for gun rental and 2 hours of play, $20 if you bring your own). Unfortunately my friends are cheap, and although they would probably deal with the $30 I would like to try to get some more out of our money.
I am open to any suggestions or comments, we would be leaving from Port Huron and would prefer not to drive more than an hour and a half.
Thanks for any and all help, -Tom

Definitely go here www.eastsideairsoft.net/. It's half the price and 100% better. Trust me, these guys know what they're doing. They also have rentals available.

looks like a pretty good place, just out of curiosity, do they have propane fillers? i just recently upgraded my side arm, and now it needs propane to work but I haven't bought the necessary equipment yet

I know they have a shop there, so I would guess that they sell propane adaptors. You'll need your own propane of course. Along with Eastside, Phoenix Tactical also runs some CQB games on the east side of the state. Games are either $10, $15 or $20 depending on how long they are. Most games run either in the evening into the night, or from the morning well into the afternoon. I'm not 100% sure if they have rentals, but it's a good bet that they do. Here's their info: Eastside Airsoft: 23250 Sherwood Warren, MI 48091 (586)-212-9600 eastsideairsoft10@gmail.com www.eastsideairsoft.netTheir most recent game thread is here: miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=39250I'm sure they'll have another up for the next couple of weekends soon. Just keep an eye out on the MiA event section for them. They also have a retail shop on site. You could email either Eastside or Phoenix to see if they have any propane adaptors in stock as well as whether or not they offer rentals.
