hey Knief, I saw the pictures of your mock bomb. My friends are building a mock bomb that is about to be finished. You should see this thing, its really good. I will get you pictures if you'd like, but for now I will just have to describe it. Its in a brief case with a timer and buzzer which sounds when timer runs out. Also there are four wires, one that deactivates, one that detonates, and two dummy wires. They also have a way to change which wires are which so people cant just remember the right one.

Just be carefull Murdoc. Its a FELONY in Michigan to make something that looks like a bomb. This sounds pretty harmless.
Just dont tape road flares to an alarm clock with wires everywhere, and forget where you put it. I know Im not lone in saying we dont want airsoft to get any more black eyes.

It doesnt look very much like a bomb but for safety we cant post any pictures. I may bring it to a game sometime though. It is a locked briefcase with no external markings so it should be pretty secure. Maybe we should put some warnings on it to show it is fake though. I was gonna say it looks fake because of the PVC used in it, but you could use pvc in a real bomb so that doesnt work.
Also there are no pyrotechnics involved in any way, just a buzzer. So no road flares will be used.

Thats good. I maenioned the road flares as a possible lapse in judement that should be avoided.  As long as you know where it is at all times, and dont leave it behind somewhere, letting someone find it and panic, you'll be OK. Id HATE to see you get in trouble for such a good idea. |

I actually made one a while back, out of two model rocket tubes, a 134a gas can, a watch, a blinking led, squirty cheese top, and a but load of e-tape. It's pretty fancy, if you can call a bomb that.

Here's what im worried about. You know the device is harmless. But all it takes is one cop to pull you over for something small (taillight whatever), and want to see whats in your trunk. He Sees the device, and arrests you. Most cops arent like this, but I have encountered that rare fiew that like to wear their badge on their Ego instead of their uniform, Having a "power Trip" every time they punch in. Well, seeing how it is topped off by a spray cheese lid, and has two medicine bottles taped to it, any sane person would know it was fake. Plus I know a lot of really cool cops, and although they don't represent all cops, they make me oblivious to those that are just assholes.

The cop stopped by thinking we were playing paintball, and when he found out we were playing airsoft he wanted to shoot one of the gbbs and told us his son plays.
