Last monday, 3/28/05 my friends and i were playing airsoft at mark's. We had already set up all the bunkers and we had played two rounds. The UPS guy came and dropped off marks new gun, so we took a break to open it up and put the battery in. Next thing, i hear that there are police cars out front. I walked out back with everyone, set down my gun, and took off my holster. I raised my hands and walked out front, towards the poliece cars a few houses down the road. The police had gotten a call that there were adults wearing camoflauge, ski masks, and carrying assault rifles. On the street were 9 police cars and a swat team, they were setting up a perimeter and prepairing for the worst. We don't know how many cars were on the other side of the block. Also, the police said we were lucky the chopper hadent arived yet. If i hadent approched the police and explained what we were doing, things would have gotten much worse and fast. After throughly examining our replicas and taking our names, they said we were doing nothing illegal and left. After that, we played basketball for a while and watched TV beacuse none of us felt like playing. I have been confronted by the police three times when playing airsoft, and there has never been an incident. If you run into the police, set your replica on the ground and raise your hands above your head in a non-threating manner. Verbally explain to the police what you are doing. NEVER carry or touch a replica while you are with the police.
Note: The police said we were not doing anything illegal and said we could continue to play.

Wow
Good advice. If the police come, DON'T make any sudden movements, set you're replica down, take off camo(if possible), act friendly, and do exactly as they say.

Yea, BigMack on Mia had a similar situation. They were playing in some kind of construction site that he thought he had permission for. They were walking around when all of the sudden SWAT and Police Officers came running in. Pointing real guns at them, they calmly put their guns down and put their hands above their heads and talked to them, they had their Replicas took away and Bigmack had to sign for all of them, which they luckily got back. I would be scared shitless.

Beacuse i approched the oficers with my hands above my head, the did not draw their weapons. Also, they did not confisgate any replicas. If someone had walked out there holding a replica, things would have been uguly.

Where the hell were you guys playing? Don't mean to be rude, but you should make sure you are in a secluded place that you have permission to play at. I don't think playing in someones back yard is cool, even if all the neighboors are ok with it. All it's gonna take is one glimpse from the street, and most people will assume you have real weapons, because most people have no interest in weapons. Just be more careful, even if you did just get new guns. The last thing you want is the police or SWAT showing up, because they take all that for real and won't think twice about shooting you if you look hostile.
Sorry if i seem like an ass, but it's the truth.

me and livoniaair had the police come twice, we all dropped our guns and walked slowly to the police officer explaining what we were doing, and we showed her our guns and she just told us to stay further in the woods. Just be carefull. The world is full of a lot of uneducated (I probably spelled that wrong, proving my point even further ) people and soccer moms.

play were you want but don't parade images and talk on here about it. If the area is "inappropriate" (view the rules. . The proper actions to take when law enforcement or a passerby breaches playing grounds/approaches you is addressed in the rules section as well.

You guys certainly didn't learn your lesson, maybe next time you'll end up with a 9mm slug in your head, but that's your choice right? I really think people would relize that it's not such a good idea.

You guys are a bunch of fucking idiots. You're playing around in your backyard with guns If somebody sees you with guns, they're going to call the police. I would do it if I saw some of my neighbors fucking around with guns in their backyard. If they're airsoft guns, keep them in doors or in cases until you're in an area that NOBODY CAN SEE UNLESS THEY'RE TRESSPASSING. If somebody can see your guns from their property or public property, then you're in the wrong place.
If you think that your actions don't have an impact on the rest of the airsoft community, you're dumber than I thought. If you get shot because your dumb ass in playing around with guns in eyesight of the public, what do you think the news report is going to say? What do you think the county or state legislature will do?
You are a bunch of fucking idiots. Do us a favor and kill yourselves.
