if u had a gas gun that shoots 280 fps w/ .12g BBs would .2g BBs make it shoot faster or slower and would it decrease its range and accuracy??

It would not shoot faster, it would drop thechroned FPS down to like 260 or more. I am not sure. But you shouldn't use .12s in a GBB. It will probably level out the accuracy, but decrease in range, I am pretty sure. Since .12s are light, but at the slightest wind, get detoured.

it will increase accuracy, increase effective range, and possibly increase overall range depending on the original overall range (it's a momentum problem that deals with fluid dynamics, which I don't know enough about). It will decrease your closing time on targets at short range, but it is a wise decision to switch up to .2's. .12's are generally cheaper so they're less accurate and can damage your hop up.
