They'll be too heavy for you to shoot effectively.
Why do you want to use them?

here's what you'll see.
They will shoot just like really heavy plastic bbs.
The material that makes up a projectile doesn't make any relavant difference in its flight other than the weight of the material.

It is also a waste of money unless you like silver flying through the air instead of white.

He may like shooting vegetables and other stuff, and I guess metal would be better for that.

Your CO2 gun also puts out a lot more energy than any airsoft gun. Your bbs weigh a hell of a lot more and come out at about the same or greater veloctiy than an airsoft gun, so yours go a lot farther. It's like comparing a real gun to a bb gun.

WARNING: do not try this... me and my friend were shooting marbles out of my paintball gun (this was a long time ago and i WAS a dumbass) well we found a metal folding chair that was being thrown away, so we deicded to shoot at it with marbles. at 20' and hiding behind a tree we shot the chair, the marble went through the backrest of the metal folding chair and all we saw come out of the backside was a sparkley dust of what i belive was the marble. ;D...adolesence is so much fun! sorry for going off topic

Physics at UofM advanced enough for you? Metal will transfer energy more effectively. Unfortunately, energy transfer isn't much fun if the bb only shoots 25 feet before taking a nose dive. Find a .8 gram plastic bb and I'll still call you stupid for shooting it from an airsoft gun. Plus, the extra energy transfer created by the higher Young's modulus is going to be minimal at this size. The surface area and amount of compression is way to small to change the force exerted in the compression or the impulse.

Knief just busted out his secret weapon, and why would you want a heavy bb, all you have to do is tag them out, not pierce their skin.
