This basic idea came from a different user on airsoftohio.com, and I thought it would be an interesting(and possibly fun) addition to our games.
Anyways, the general idea is that a small "kit" be passed out to medics before each game, and to have said medics use the kit in order to more fully re-create the action of healing a wounded soldier in the field of battle.
The kit would include a plastic syringe, a small screw-cap bottle of water, some strips of white cloth, and a pair of plastic(or metal) scissors.
In a skirmish situation, if a player is shot, the medic will try to get to him as fast as possible. The medic will then fill the syringe with the "morphene"(water) and "inject" it into the player. This can be done by simply squirting the player on his hand, boot, or BDU. He will then "clamp" the wound by laying the scissors on the wounded limb. He will tie the "bandage"(cloth) around the limb of the wounded soldier, remove the clamp, and send the soldier back off to fight the good fight.
I thought it would be fun to try this out for a game or two, and if enough of you are interested, I'll try to get ahold of a few kits to administer to the medics at a small game.
Thanks much, Jack.

Not a bad idea, would beat the old slap on the back and your healed deal, makes it a bit risky for the medic though, but thats how it is in real combat, so I guess it all works out.

Another idea that was used in Northern wind (Wu op) was medic cards. before the games the medics were given a certain amount of tape to use. The medic would pull a card and administer the tape according to how much the card read. Medics had to be careful on who they treated, because supplies were low.

Yep, I'm aware of the medic card deal. That was an innovation brought to you by Aegis of Team Strikers. He's way into that medic stuff. I'm not sure, but I believe the originator of this particular idea was supposed to be having some discussions with Aegis soon. Hopefully in a day or two we'll have an even more refined system.
Jack.

Well there is another sysytem, though this one would be a lot more realistic.
The one I am suggesting, is basically a box of cards is given to the Medic. Each card contains a different type of action. Some said, "Wait 20 seconds, then your back in battle' (different times are in there, like 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 seconds...), others said "Instant Kill" (A lot were Instant Kills) While others were like "Instant Heal" (or Life). At OP: Desert Goliath, this was the type that was used to fullfill the role of "Medic".

Some may be instant kills, others not. For those that can be healed once, after a second hit, you're out.

Yeah, we can use the medic kit one game, and then the next use my idea.
El, why would you have to go through opening up the envelope? By the you may be already under fire. What I mean is there is a small box that the medic carrys around. It is filled all the way with cards, their stacked like a deck of cards in the box, except the box is longer.
All you do, is the medic gets to the wounded person, opens the box up, and pulls a card from the box (randomly) and reads it aloud. If I make it to the next game, I will show you what I am talking about.
