El, I have an idea for a way to make a good target stand with the wood I've got, but I think I need your advice on it. What if I took two six foot beams and nailed them............. Or, a paint picture is worth a dozen words (a real picture may be worth a thousand, but paint? come on). Kneif, you got the right idea. We need the red parts set up to flip down after being hit, much like bi-athalon(Sp?) targets. ... You could make the same thing with PVC piping, it would be easy to take apart and lighter so you could transport it easily. King, an even better idea. Granted, Kneifs got the lumber [nudge nudge] to build one, but PVC would be so much lighter and easier to set up. This way we can easily have an IPSC style contest between games. This is getting a better turn out that I thaught ;D [-Edit Quote Error

It would be better if the target was made out of PVC. Not only could it be taken apart easialy, but because it would be a LOT easier to take apart, transport, and re-build on site. This way it saves Knief stress on trying to fit this big old thing in his PiMpEd Mini-Van . Also, between games would it just be allowed only to Knief and Jack? Or jsut anyone who would like to participate. Because I still need to find more funding options and am still researching my "able to compete" pistol.

Yeah, if you want to go spend money on PVC piping, go for it. I, on the otherhand, am broke. I've already got access to wood for free, so if I build anything, it will be out of that wood.
Andrew, If we're having a competition, then it'll be open to people shooting in the class of that competition. One person at a time, of course. If we're just fucking around and doing a little target shooting, then it's open to anybody.
We're going to need a timer system for this. I guess an impartial third person with a stop watch will do.

I wanted this to be open to anybody at first, see if we can develop interest by setting up at a game for a breif 'goof around' session. I have a Real Steel shooter (my mother in law's boyfriend) somewhat intereted in this. He likes the fact that he can build a race pistol for less than he paid for his Kimber As for an Impartial judge, nothing is more impartial than a stopwatch. We will need 2 of them just in case. You need to clock with 2 at a time in case one gets a bad start or stop. It does happen once in a while

www.airsoftplayers.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7772I think there are a few things that we can learn from these videos. They're doing pretty much what I think we'd want to set up ourselves. And, if anybody wasn't sure what BB-IPSC was before, this is what it looks like.
