Hey, I'm just getting into airsoft, and my friend has this abandoned area that might part of his property, no neighbors, and maybe a dirt road or two. I believe that it is away from any occupied buildings or used roads. I do have written permission to use it from my friend, I'm just wondering if I should call the Washtanaw County Police about it, and what else I should do. Also, is there anyway to find out who actually owns the place?
By the way. Its really nice. abandoned buildings (shack and a gas station) and some broken down cars. behind is is forest.

You and your friend need to head down to the records office and check the property lines. I would advise against playing there until you are 100% certain your friend owns it.
Depending on the size though, it sounds like a rather nice field... assuming the abandoned gas station hasn't left any HAZMAT.

Okay, I'll do that when I have time for city records, I wont actually start airsoft till end of school or 2 weeks after when I get my stuff. Depending on the size though, it sounds like a rather nice field... assuming the abandoned gas station hasn't left any HAZMAT. I'm pretty sure the gas station doesn't have anything left in it... Theres a sunken hippie van though, its sweet for cover. If this even ever gets off the ground, It would be nice to play an intense 15-20 person war there. |

okay, I'm going to go check out the city hall records on Friday or Thursday If I can. If the owner of the land is not the city, then Knief will call to ask (Thanks!) b/c the owner wouldn't take a 13 year old seriously about abandoned property.

I just found out that my friend Checked out who owns the property, its the city's. So its a no go.
