Who's all planning on going? And what's the method of transportation? By Car, Train, or Plane?
I believe South Haven Airport is only a few miles from the field.

CPT.- Moore S.F.O.D.-D and T.F.R. I've got 7 of my guys including myself going for the N. Korean side 2 Delta Operators, and 5 Rangers geared in desert But the FPS is weird, 350 for an outside event??? isn't that for CQB? I mean it's a little low fps for a normal game that will force everyone on my team to break down our guns and change out springs, and thats a pretty big pain in the ass thing to have to do, I'm praying they'll change the fps rules!

Engagement Rules Article 15: The following are the minimum distance engagement limits for airsoft replicas. This is the closest a player can engage another player with a replica rated in the following feet per second (fps) categories using full-auto, semi-auto, or single shot capability. See Article 16 for extremely close quarter player elimination. OUTDOOR/OPEN FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS • 1.0 - 350.9 fps - Arms length engagement limit • 351.0 - 410.9 fps - 20 foot engagement limit • 411.0 - 550.9 fps – 50 foot engagement limit, bolt action or permanent* semi-auto replicas only • 551.0+ fps - Prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only *Permanent semi-auto refers to replicas that do not have full-auto fire capability, no matter how the selector switch or other user input device is manipulated. INDOOR/CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE (CQB)/ENCLOSED FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS • 1.0 - 350.9 fps – Arms length engagement limit • 351.0+ fps – prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only Engagement limits are based on averaged fps readings using .20 gram weight bb’s only. The method for acquiring an airsoft replica’s average fps is to fire multiple (more than 2) shots through a chronograph, record the readings, add the fps readings together and divide by the total number of readings. Gas operated airsoft replicas should be chronographed using a “warm” ambient temperature gas supply (i.e. magazine), or with heating device functioning if used during the cold season. No allowance is made for airsoft replicas that have an average reading close to the lower end of the next highest fps category. Example- if the replica has an average reading of 351.5 fps it falls within the 20 foot engagement limit. More info at miairsoft.proboards70.com/index.cgi?board=r-n-r&action=display&thread=1055191860

This will not change trust me, when you read the MIA event forum on this you will see that this was a huge issue and they didnt want to change it. I come from a NC team that I started and our fps rules for out side events where 420fps, i know this is a very bad call on them.

Again you will see this is a problem with this.

Dammit!!! these rules blow I won't go if I must violate my weapons gender. We have a city arena... Extremly close quarters and our team mostly shoots about 400-460 and we don't play by FPS limmits or engagement rules meaning if you can get your gun to crank it we'll allow it and if you stumble up on top of someones position(we perfer you give em the choice to surender or feel the wrath)and they don't surrender.... we plug them!!!
This may "SOUND" dangerous but none of us has ever complained or got hurt and we shoot the shit out of eachother sometimes only inches away, everyone likes the realism and all of us were shocked at the rules the first time we went to Future Ball and that really wasn't that thrilling, so most people may complain about Flash Fires rules but we strongly disslike them!

Grey Fox, Try to understand that when operating an organized event, safety limits must be set. There is a point of exceeding a safe threshold, what that point is, i'm not sure. However these guidelines were set by more experinced players and people of MIA who have been playing airsoft for many years and know the threshold of saftey. It's wise not to push or exceed the threshold of safety and create a 'safety net' margin that result in a speed less than that threshold. I would highly recommend some reading up on Joules and the impact assocated before breaking the skin and inlodging BB's into someone. This may "SOUND" dangerous but none of us has ever complained or got hurt and we shoot the shit out of eachother sometimes only inches away Would you like to play agaist someone who (say me) has there gas sniper rifle cranked to over 700 fps? I've played paintball for over 16 years. And I do know the secerts of increasing a gas powered gun. And it would only take me about 90 seconds to increase my M700 to over 700 or 800 fps with a .30gram BB. At this point it would break a pair of googles, and create serious injury, is this how you truly play???

Pilot, methinks you're SERIOUSLY blowing things out of proportion. (And just for the record, Fox has hosted games before, so it's not like he doesnt understand the need for limitations- so there's no need to condescend).
Fox is simply stating a dislike of the rules because his gun is at more of a disadvantage than he's used to, whereas what you're talking about is downright unsafe for anyone. 400 FPS from a few feet away like Fox said, nobody complains- but you're talking about almost twice that, an extra 300FPS. Shattering goggles with a 700FPS gas rifle isnt something to be proud of, it's just being a downright dick.
Anyway, Fox'll just have to modify his weapon if it doesnt quite work. Myself being a sniper, I've got no problem with the rules, as everything is pretty much standard for me...
