i agree with skypilot. but one thing i would like to know is how big the field is? if it is more then 10 acres, then the teams could be searching fo a long time. that is if its in the woods. if it is in an open field then it is just paintball. i personally liked the way the dirty dozen had it, we played games 2v2 in the house and the vicinity of the house.
im not trying to put down your event but it just seems like some things need to be sorted out before this could happen succesfully.guest

I agree with Knief, you include prizes- you're looking at a game not of "who's a better CQB player" but a "Let's see who can cheat better than the rest" kind of game.
While judges and cameras may be in place, that's not gonna stop players from saying they didnt feel the shot, and let's face it- judges cant be everywhere at once and cameras dont see EVERYTHING.
I support the idea of just raffling off the weapons and letting the winners take some kind of title or whatever, ya know? But it was for this reason exactly that airsoft has never really become a professional sport the way paintball did (not that I'm a paintball supporter, I think it's a stupid game overall, but it's easy to police cuz you've got a brightly colored paint spot on your body, then you know you got hit- but even there, cheating is rampant).
If you go through with this, you'd be lucky to get a small handful of honest players and you'll hear more complaints about cheating in one afternoon than the rest of us deal with in the course of several months of gameplay.
Just my humble two cents on the matter... -Mongoose

I for one will not be attending. Personally I beleive having awards for the winning team only creates serious problems. And those problems worsen when a valueable grand prize is at stake. Unlike paintball, you only have the word of the person shooting or getting hit to call the shot. And if the shot is questionable, then it's doubtful someone will call it when the prize is a $300+ AEG. I stopped playing paintball because of the same reasons. And started playing airsoft because of the honor involved with the sport. And I believe events like this will only encourge people to leave their honor off the field and only keep their eye on the prize. And it take the fun out of the game. Again I ask that if you have something like this to say about this event or any other event please just pm the event admin. As for you worring about 1. the prise and 2. the honor. well if you would have read all the way through you would have seen the how these 2 important issue's where taken care of. 1. yes there is a prise for the winning team, but we are also going to have a raffle for other GBB's and tact gear on saturday. so we will not be leaving anyone out in the cold on this. We do know this is a serious issue (for some reason, if you want to comment please send it to me via pm) 2. the honor problem which you think will happen, we have that taken care of also. we are going to be having members of hte MISPP (Mi State Police Post) as our field judges so there again this has been taken care of. Thanks for your imput, sorry you will not be coming.

MOA is in the process of making sure that this is taken care of as we speak. I do thank you for not putting this event down for it does seam that is all people want to do on here, since this is something new. Again thanks for your input

As MOA has stated we are going to have this taken care of before hand I know at this time the ROE and Rules for this event are not posted but they are being worked on as of this time and hope to have them posted before the week is out. Hoping that this helps clear a lot of things up. "While judges and cameras may be in place, that's not gonna stop players from saying they didnt feel the shot, and let's face it- judges cant be everywhere at once and cameras dont see EVERYTHING." As for this issues this is one of the things we are looking over right now. Trust us in the area of play it will be easy to tell 1. if you are hit and 2. when you are hit. As for the judges, they will have full say over the game, there will be no instant replay or anything like that, if a judge calls you out, you are out end of story. And If a player argues with the Judges they are out also. I know this seams like it will not work, but it will. "I support the idea of just raffling off the weapons and letting the winners take some kind of title or whatever, ya know?" This is also be looked at and fixed at this time plan on the update on or before sunday. "If you go through with this, you'd be lucky to get a small handful of honest players and you'll hear more complaints about cheating in one afternoon than the rest of us deal with in the course of several months of gameplay." This type of an event has been done beofre by me while i was living in NC. IT was a very ran event and a lot of fun to. The subject of cheating didnt even come up, why? cause the judges had the control of the field..The Judges had nothing to gain or lose and in it they called a great event for every one involved. So MOA does not see the problem of complaints on cheating, which even now happens in the big airsoft events. It is getting to look and feel that the people that keep complaining about this are the ones that are not going to come or think they are to good for a event like this. This not ment to be disrespectful to anyone, but this is what it seams. Again thanks for all your imput. MOA
