Well we had a team meeting today and there are a few things I would like to address. At our last two games hear in Flint a guy brought a real shotgun (I wonder who that could be?) This will no longer be allowed because of the potential risk. I'm sorry, I'm not against the weapon, but the decision was not in my power... Second is that we voted on face protection, and face protection will not be mandatory to anyone. However, I strongly encourage face protection to everyone. There have been a lot of teeth shot out in airsoft and you are stupid not to wear a balaclava, shemagh, or ski mask... A simple layer of cloth makes a huge difference.
Once again, real firearms are not allowed, and face protection is not mandatory but is highly recommended.

i usually wear paint ball mask but how much facial and teeth protection does a balaclava really give especially being hit with a 450 fps weapon. I just dont want to go to work next day with cratered welts on my face either so I'd like some opinions if possible

You most likely won't be that close in battle to worry too much about 450fps doing that kind of damage. 450 really won't hurt at normal engagement limits. Especially if you're wearing a balaclava. Freak accidents are possible, yes. Unfortunately, Bman and others that I don't recall have suffered from them. However, they are pretty slim, in my opinion. If you're playing any sport where shooting projectiles at each other, or even playing standard sports, you automatically assume the risk. If you don't, you're naive. SO, if you're really concerned about it, I recommend wearing a paintball mask. You'll be 99% safe. ( You may fall and break an ankle or something . There are risks other than the BB's. )

No matter what you will always have inherited risk. Just take all the necessary precautions that you feel are necessary.

Well Double Standards do have it's benifeits. I was keeping going to keep it a suprise but I had selected you as my Bombardier/CoPilot for our very first mission. I just hope for the sake of the bombing run, the my CoPilot/Wanta-be Genuis Boy can read a map. I don't know man...with the way some of these people bitch and wine, I wouldn't do the air support thing. If a .12g BB were to land on someone....Well things could get destructive. I for one couldn't immagine the trauma of having a BB land on my head....It's terrifying just thinking about it.

The closer this game gets, the more excited I get. I have some new gear and more coming for this game and can't wait to use it.
I just hope we get some snow, too. That'd be awesome.

With all this talk about face protection I thought I should mention I spotted a cool half face mask at a ski shop up by 12 mile. I forget if it had an ACU pattern, but it was camo with ACU colors, it was also quite comfortable (yes, i tried it on). IMO these would make for great face protection.
I may be able to make it to the game, it depends on whether or not the DD guys go and if I can ride with them.

It's updated. 34 people right now. I actually only expected about 25 to sign up with it being January and all. We are going to set up tarps as a wing breaker around the pavilion and I am going to commandeer Narcolepsy's 5,000 BTU Kerosene heater.
