Be careful in there... He'll try and sell you one of those automatic knives Those little funny hats are kinda cool, though. I've only seen them in the surplus store in Lapeer. Problem was, along with everything else that I've found that was German, was made for little guys.. Normal sized stuff is kind of hard to find in the US. At least you weren't the only one with troubles. Good news, though, ( for me ) this morning I cracked open my CQB's gearbox... It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I broke off 3-4 teeth from my sector gear and no other noticeable damage.

Being new to airsoft I dont have a frame of reference, but there was about 5 guns that broke down yesterday out of 15 players. Was that a factor of the cold, or was that normal?
Hope thats a cheap replacement gear, Crazyman!

Out of 15? No...that's not common. Out of 30 maybe, but not 15. Were any of them battery related?

I was surprised how much the intense cold affected battery performance. I noticed battery didnt last as long but also I noticed my rate of fire was not as great as at room temperature. About the other problems with other guns I'm speculating the cold has to have an effect on gears/hop up barrel diameter. I got tagged by sky pilot in the woods with his sniper rifle and I always thought green gas didnt work well in the cold (good shot any way) ;D Xipe please stick to TM and dont get seduced by the inherent metallic sexiness of CA you will definitely play longer without having to open your gun at an op

Dont worry Merkava, Im still thinking of a TM Aug w/ M130 spring, bushings and a tightbore barrel..... er not that Im thinking about running out and buying one right now ....Ive heard to many mixed reviews of CA's
And my 9.6v 1200mah battery lasted about 3.5 high caps. 900 rnds or so, which surprised me. Its in the butt so I think my armpit kept it pretty warm.
I can see the cold causing alot of problems with precise machinery. Everyone had shorter battery life but one guy had a barrel jam wiith his MP5, CrazyCanuck had feed issues, Crazyman stripped a gear, and it seems like there were several other major failures
So when is next months game?

it was a good time indeed. I never racked up so many kills in a day! ...and with Propane too. Looking forward to the next op. -SkyPilot.

Well we had a team meeting today and there are a few things I would like to address. At our last two games hear in Flint a guy brought a real shotgun (I wonder who that could be?) This will no longer be allowed because of the potential risk. I'm sorry, I'm not against the weapon, but the decision was not in my power... Second is that we voted on face protection, and face protection will not be mandatory to anyone. However, I strongly encourage face protection to everyone. There have been a lot of teeth shot out in airsoft and you are stupid not to wear a balaclava, shemagh, or ski mask... A simple layer of cloth makes a huge difference. Once again, real firearms are not allowed, and face protection is not mandatory but is highly recommended. Whomever was in charge needs to either enforce the rules, or hand the reins to someone who will. It won't let me bold a quite so here: At our last two games hear in Flint a guy brought a real shotgun (I wonder who that could be?) This will no longer be allowed because of the potential risk.

What are you talking about? Rules are enforced.
