OK People, we haven't lost the Romulus field yet.
Our new Friend OverKillBill is going to have access to it for quite some time. SO lets make good use of it! I cant wait for another game there. Lets try for the 8th of October. I'm afraid that anything sooner wont work too well.
We could do a Sniper-counter sniper game the 11th of September. If not, we can do that October 8th

8th or 15th, which ever.
8th would be a little hard to swing, with homecoming the night before, but i could do it.
Can I use my M700 here? (if needed, with 134a, and .36s + a big engagement limit, IF needed)

Yeah, maybe the 15th is better. Since my team is looking for a new field, and we are going to try to get a team practice in soon, it would be better. (We are going to try out my M700 on a human target) *It's going to be Brad, Lorenzo, so don't worry *

I have no problem with the M700 if you have a huge engagement limit. A paintball still packs more of a punch than a 600 FPS rifle.

Yeah, I am thinking around a 100foot one. Anything closer, and I would pull out my Sidearm, or I will ask my spotter (whoever that is, if El wants to get some practice in) for my M4, and I will sling the M700 to my back.

Andrew, just because your bb is heavier and moving slower doesn't mean that it carries less energy. It will actually carry more energy at the time of impact. Your gun will fire all projectiles with the same amount of momentum. A lighter bb travels faster, a heavier bb travels slower, and by the time they are both at the end of the muzzel, they will carry the same amount of energy into the target (the energy is what does the damage). At range, both bbs have to move through the same amount of air (they have the same cross-sectional area), so the same amount of air resistence is put on them. This air resistance will slow the lighter bb down faster than it will slow the heavier bb. So, the heavier bb will actually carry more energy when it hits it's target.
There's a reason why no large airsoft groups have velocity limits that allow 600 fps guns. They simply do too much damage. There's too much of a chance of you hitting somebody closer than you thought they were, especially with your scope.
Gestapo, paintball guns carry much more energy when the projectile hits the target, but the energy is displaced in a completely different way. First, paintballs break. Paintballs compress on impact, and because of that, deccellerate at a slower rate. The average force they exert on you is less than it would be if the ball was solid plastic. Paintballs are also a lot bigger than airsoft bbs, and that causes the energy to disperse over a much wider area. That's why people who are hit by paintballs get bruises and people who get hit by airsoft bb get welts. You want proof? Using your finger, poke yourself in the arm with 5 newtons of force. Then, using a safety pin, poke yourself in the arm with 1 newton of force. Tell me which one does more damage. Because airsoft bbs are significantly smaller, they have penetrating power as well. We've all heard stories of airsoft bb getting lodged into some poor bastard's skin.
So no Andrew, you can't use your M700 at a SEMIA event. It's just plain dangerous.

Andrew, there has GOT to be a way to bring your Tanaka down to a sane velocity. I wish we had tried 134 in it at FB . Did you upgrade the hammer spring by chance? If not, we may have to trim it if you want to run on Green/propane.
