Hmmm. That's an interesting point. I have one main rifle, a sidearm, and a backup sidearm, then one more spring spare. (soon will have an AEP too!) But will the ammo count for those weapons count as my allowance as a whole? I actually would suggest no, unless someone has some kind of highcap for pistols. I would say one or two mags per sidearm would be acceptable. But we could limit the amount of weapons you can carry, or how many weapons each team is allowed to carry total. That way, if one person is carrying ten pistols, the rest of the team would be limited even more.

Way too much info way to fast. I really like this idea and am excited about this game. I kinda scanned it because of time restrictions but from what I gather we will have multiple squads of humans and one horde of zombies. Has any one considered making the human squads different sizes and differently armed? example: a civilian squad could consist of 12 members but can only use civilian type weapons (shotguns pistols rifles), while a S.W.A.T. type team can only have 5 members but can be armed however they see fit? this would also create a need for uniform requirements so we know the difference between squads.
So you all know, I would really love to help in getting this event off of the ground, so let me know if theres anything I can do.

Will pump action rifles or pistols be aloud to have more ammo? |brickman|, Guess What..... SEMIA has the same spelling and grammar rules MIA does. FIRST WARNING!

Brickman, if you want to, send me PMs so you don't get banned for "epic suckage" at spelling and grammar. Or, as an alternative, use the integral spell check which is available when you click on reply (not the quick reply) then you can post with confidence. If nothing else, don't piss off El Phantasamo, what ever you do!
I just read his post EL, he probably did spell-check it, but the thing doesn't catch words used out of context, oh well. lol
to answer the questions above, ammo capacity would be limited by ammo per player. If you have 10 guns and want to lug them all around, thats fine, but you probably wont have more than one magazine filled per gun.
Shadow, there are high cap mags for AEPs like my CM030 which can be fitted with a 100 round mag, and since its regular mag is a 30 round capacity, I think one mag is plenty, but you could put the ammo into what ever gun you like. If everyone likes the idea, I would propose a rule that would be that once a mag is loaded, the ammo stays in that mag. If you pass a buddy a magazine during a fire-fight, that would be OK, but you would not be allowed to take BBs from one mag and pour them into another magazine. I would like to keep the game realistic in the sense of passing mags, not hand-fulls of BBs ;D
So here is the update:
One of the four structures has been constructed.
Shadow is collecting pie plates for "head shot" markers.
I have updated the roster on MIA as much as possible, but we still need at least fifteen (15) Zombies, and twenty (20) would be better.
If you guys know people interested is participating in the game, please let us know and more to the point, have them post on the thread on MIA so we can get a good count and begin setting everything up.

I didn't know that. I'm curious to learn how you plan on enforcing the ammo limit? This is an honor system sport, maybe that would work, but do you have anything else planned? Also, I have been collecting some pie plates, but as of now I don't have too many. I can't promise a lot, but I'll give you what I can find.

I will probably purchase a few boxes of plates and saucers myself, but anything you get will certainly help. I figure that something like 40 - 60 would be good number. To answer the question of ammo limit, I think that the honor system is all we can ever hope for, and with the help of attentive refs (and of course the good players who make MIA and Semia events worthwile) we will have no problems. I have been thinking about something that some of the guys mentioned about event cards which are drawn from some sort of deck to determine certain events, both positive and negative. I have never used one for airsoft, but if anyone has ideas, I am open to suggestions.

I would like to thank you for teaching me how to check my spelling Red Knight. I will no longer in any way shape or form suck at typing.
BTW: Did you say that there would be flood lights used to light up the tree line?

That's what I was told. I can't confirm though, if that's still the plan.

There has been talk of providing high quality BB's for this event. Probably KSC, Excel, or G&G Bios. Hopefully everyone can use .25g's. I"m thinking were going to hand out small bags of BB's after chrono. You load them however you see fit... If someone were to come with a high-end sniper rifle, we would have to check their mags during chrono. I for one, see little use for such a replica at this event. Red Knight, please give me some time on the electrical items for this event. I have a lot of things to try and sell from my grandfathers estate this spring (Boat, tiller Ect...). I'm going the be VERY busy.... |BrickMan|, Im bringing your warning level down a bit for your apology.....

lol at Brickman. Brickman, I love your enthusiasm, maintain that and watch your spelling and I can't think of anything else to worry about, except zombie-pirates.
El, I have a couple of sets of 500 watt flood lights, on tripods, and 4 or more generators to use. I am also going to purchase a chronograph myself for my team to use in the future. Can you suggest a good brand? I concur with you about high power rifles being a bit low on utility. I suppose though that for engaging the other team, such a gun would be appropriate, but I will probably require the user to use a pistol against zombies since they will be close any way, and I don't want to have anyone with a BB lodged in their skin.
Everyone will chrono with .2s loaded by the refs. No one, not even me, will load their own gun when its time to chrono. I don't want any injuries, the Zombies are slow coming as it is and we don't want to piss off or hurt any of our volunteers. On a personal note, El, if you catch someone with a hot gun, please rip their arms off and eat their liver for me. I am still pissed at the crotch-goblins that brought hot guns to Farmington the other day. They pulled them out in the dark and went full-auto. I got shot in the nuts, three times. My bag was bleeding! I will now become a chrono-nazi for a while until I forget the pain and suffering we endured. They also shot Hunter and someone else all of us were bleeding from it. Having learned a valuable lesson, I will be bringing colored zip-ties for marking guns. They will be specially serialized ties so no one can cut and swap them. I will offer players what ever weight of BB they desire, they can have .12s if they really want them, I don't care, I will have .12, .2, .25, .28 and a few .4s, but I am not certain if I want to see someone shot with a .4. I will defer to your judgment on that one.
Talk to you later guys!
~R K
P.s. sorry to hear of your loss El.

Could we do a sort of prisoner system? Like if you're out alone or with one other person, and get surrounded by another team, you could have the option (or be required) to surrender. When you do, you are taken along with the group. You cannot use your weapon (or they can carry it) and knife kills are disabled. Then they could use the prisoners as bartering tools to get things, such as a prisoner from their own team or a mission critical item.

No, this is a zombie game. You will be eaten, but not a prisoner. Zombies don't take prisoners

I think he meant being taken prisoner by other humans. I do think that would complicate things unnecessarily though. I like the idea, but in another game.

Prisoners (other than role players) being disarmed leads to broken guns, my point being that is a bad idea.
