You'd be surprised what we would take. Unless a recruiter told you no within the last year, you may be eligable now. It takes a lot to be perm DQ'd.

Hey now ghast. nighthawks didn't say that he didn't want to fight, he said that he didn't want to fight in war that he doesn't support, specifically the current Iraq war. That's a big difference right there. I wouldn't fight in this war either, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't fight for a cause that I believe in.

The way he worded it made it sound like he wanted to join an armed force without expecting to see any kind of action. Kind of like going to an airsoft game but not shooting a single pellet. Kinda pointless eh?

I thought about doing the same thing about 2 years ago, but I joined the Merchant Marine instead. Lest you have a felony on your record, you could do the same. Just a suggestion.
